I suck at coming up with names. I had a long list of names I liked, and gradually it's shortened over the years. Journey was on that list, though. It was one I never thought I'd actually use, and it is more common than I prefer, but it suits my Journey perfectly.
I've already used most of my favourite names.
Dance is my favourite name ever. I got it from one of my Doberman breeder's owners, who had a dog named "Danse", and at first I thought it was weird. But then I grew to like it, and eventually loved it enough to ask permission to use it for my own puppy. I was really sad to find two more Dance's online haha. One is a Koolie (female) and the other and English Shepherd (male). But still, it's not a name I've ever come across in real life, and while a lot of people think it's weird, I love it.
Tango was my other favourite name. Not very original and there seem to be lots of dogs named Tango, but I've always loved it. I picked that name out for my Tango long before I even had a puppy in mind.
Echo was another favourite of mine. It's not super common, but not that unique either. I've met a few Echos over the years. But again, it's another name I've always liked a lot. And if it wasn't so weird to me to reuse names, I'd use it again.
As for names that I think I might use in the future, I don't have very many and who knows if they'll stick around, but here they are:
River (love this name - can't use it until Ripley's gone though as it's too similar sounding)
Tehya
Wonder
Quest
Eve
Kat
Loca
Marlo
Merlot
Puzzle
Aero
Bounce
Rue
Rowan (but now I know a dog with that name, so probably won't use it)
They aren't very original, but that's the current list.
I had an Obedience trainer with dogs named Whynot and Maybe. I always liked those!
