Sounds a lot like Mason but he's not quite that bad. I think he's learned to accept that I have to go to work everyday. But he still wets the floor with excitement when I return. Fortunately, he's learned to go on the back porch when I get home for just that reason.

When we bought our house there was a baby gate installed at the top of the stairs; mounted to the wall. It's very convenient and great to use. We close it at night when we're sleeping so he doesn't get into trouble. He sits by it all night keeping watch on the front door. :)
