Recon hates Bogey, so we've been working on a lot of LAT lately with the two of them.

We've been getting out to stores a lot and Recon doesn't even need treats in a pet store for 10-15 minutes to behave properly and happily. WIN!

Bogey on the other hand... ;)

Since distractions in novel environments are our nemesis right now, I've been trying to take Squash out to some pet-friendly businesses. Just practicing attention, leave it, and short stretches of heeling.

Today we were at PetCo and as a reward for walking nicely I let him watch the glass cage full of budgies for a few minutes. He just stood there motionless with his nose smooshed against the glass, staring. I'm sure if I'd been across the cage from him I would have seen little buck teeth lol. And the budgies didn't seem to give any effs, they just stared right back at him.
You should bring him to my work. I can provide distractions :p

Picked up the book Alphabet Drills, so we're working on those. Been taking my little portable jumps over to the neighbor's pasture (it's got more open areas so I can space out the jumps properly and not smack into a tree while running the sequence, although I'm sure Riley would find that amusing).

Buster: Just trying to find time to get out and walk him.

Quinn: Working on breaking down her dog reactivity and work on her ongoing impulse control issues. Plus restarting her agility foundations.... and scent detection training.

... inbetween working 8-12 hours, 6-7 days a week.

Now that she can come to work with me most days fitting in keeping her happy is easier. Plus I'm either at work training or at work at my trainers house grooming so if I'm at training she is atleast getting lots of exposure to other dogs and at the Salon I can take her and leave her in the backyard with my trainers shepherd. She doesn't want to make friends yet but we're getting there. He's being very patient with her.

Got Crate Games in the mail, so I went over the first few sessions with Wesley tonight. The DVD is really for puppy purposes, but we did it just for fun. I sometimes forget how smart Wes is, he's so quick to catch on. We've also been working on recalls, he's been fantastic at calling off his biggest distractions, other dogs. He may be finally growing a brain at the tender age of 2 1/2! :hail:

Zuma: Smoothing out our disc freestyle routine, rebuilding a couple tricks (oh silly sensitive girl), and teaching a couple new ones.

Zinga: We are doing a lot of foundation contact work right now. Full height dog walk is going well, lowered a-frame is going well and teeter with a 16" table is going well. We are also working on driving ahead for jumps and will start weaves soon (I LOVE WEAVES). We are also working out disc stuff right now which is proving to be interesting with spazzoid-leg girl.

Zip Tie: The husband has been working a lot with him (YAY!), I know they are working on pivoting around a pedestal in prep for heeling and doing a lot of "spot" training. He's also becoming desensitized to garage noises, good thing he has such a stable temperament because I can't even stand being in the garage when Tim's working. He's also in my puppy k right now and doing awesome around all the distractions. The only thing I'm working on him with is focus and impulse control when dogs are moving. We do a lot of group play sessions currently where each dog has their own toy to play with me. He's doing well but every now and then goes into "attack Zinga" mode. Nothing worrisome at all though, just normal puppy dog excitement.

I've started playing around with some of the rally exercises with Pip at home. He is really loving it and is surprisingly good at it. I might start taking him to class with me to see how he does there... but he is really sensitive to unfamiliar environments and can get shut down, so I don't know that it will ever be anything we do away from home. At least he's having fun, though.

Yea, me too. I let the youngsters put on a little padding for the winter since we were out playing in the snow so much, but unless I can sneak a run in tomorrow morning I think our skijoring season is over.

Well, everyone in my household is in bootcamp.

Siri is on LEAVE YOUR BROTHER ALONE bootcamp. She is also on pooping bootcamp because she is getting even sneakier, and now hides behind the couch when she poops because she know I can't get back there and nab her before she has time to take a dump!
So now when I know she has to poop (you can totally tell with her) we go outside and when she clams up and says "Who me? I don't have to poop!" we go back inside and she is in the crate for 15 minutes, no interaction, then we try again. So far it usually takes her about 3 revolutions of this before she will poop outside, then she gets a huge party and FREEDOM! Why spend almost an hour doing this when you could poop the first time puppy?! I do give her mad props for enthusiasm and braining about ways to not poop outside :rofl1:

Frodo is on barking bootcamp. Which means he thinks I am the worst person in all the world right now, and I feel terrible :( But it was getting out of control. Mainly with OMG PERSON WHO I LOVE PET ME PET ME BARKBARKBARKBARK! Siri is a generally quiet puppy, I don't want her learning this.

Siri and Frodo are also learning mad mat skillz. I love how it is going with both of them, so much enthusiasm to get their butts back to the mat! Even from Frodo :D

Siri is also working on lots and lots of recall games, and building drive for the disc. And learning she won't die in her xpen when Frodo gets to watch TV with me at night during anti-Siri time.

Frodo is doing lots of nosework hides, because he loves them and I feel guilty about spending so much time with Siri.

We're working on healing his wittle legs :( He's no longer limping and has returned to his happy, bouncy, crazy jumping self and doesn't understand why we won't let him do backflips off of the couch.

I'm working on the same stuff with Carma still. Basic foundation stuff. I'm just trying to hard not to get ahead of myself/her and give her too much at once, which is hard because I want to do so much! But she is making steady progress at least. She's now independently turning on the touch pad with only a point to left or right rather than luring all the way around. I am dying to work on using that to teach her to stay with the left leg while we turn around on teh touch pad, but I don't feel like she's ready yet..**nervous**I also want to get moving with teaching how to get into basic position and tracking, but we keep getting hammered with snow!!!

Aiden is working on more control in the protection. I spent alllll fall/winter building his confidence back up and now he's dirty and out of control again. He's really obedient, so it shouldn't be too bad to fix. We've just been doing heeling for bites at the moment. Once we get back on the field, I need to keep him coming into the blind clean. Also need to make sure he can still run 4 blinds for the IPO2. If his protection isn't where it needs to be, then I'll only be going for the TR2 and OB2, but I really want to give another shot at the IPO2 at some point..

For no real reason, I purchased a dumbbell and I'm working on holding onto it with Squash. He's doing quite well, which unfortunately means the next thing will be to figure out how the heck to teach him to retrieve, something he has just slightly more than zero interest in.

The two little ones are going through recall bootcamp again. They've been slacking off lately, and I've had to go after them out in the woods twice. Which is a BIG no-no.
