Sooooo....... I thought I kinda had an "off" week last week at only 2.8 lbs.

My weigh day is Sunday mornings (I always weigh in the morning after the morning potty break and before eating/drinking anything). However, yesterday as I was gathering towels to wash, the scale was beckoning me. I thought, "A few tears never hurt anyone. What the heck....", and I stepped on the scale.

WOWZA! I hit the 20 lb mark!!! I've lost 20 lbs in less than 3 weeks!! And it's not even Sunday yet! It's absolutely crrrrazy!

I'm so happy with the insulin resistant/diabetic route of Weight Watchers I am doing. I'm also exercising at leat 4 days a week.

Oh, and I've now dropped a full 3 sizes!
Woot! Way to go!!!! That's fantastic!:)

I gained 8 lbs during the holidays  and now I just weighed myself and I've lost 5 of it. I still have to lose the rest of the 8 plus 12 more to be at my ideal weight. And those love handles....arrrrgggg! I haven't been able to work out for almost a week because I've had a nasty, rotten cold and not only do I not want to spread it around, but I feel lousy. It makes me so mad....it takes time to work up to a more vigorous work-out and start building muscle, which I was really feeling like I was getting somewhere with.... and now I've lost that and have to start all over. Grrrr.:wall:

I've walked 2-2.15 miles each day this week, except for Wednesday. I had school until 3:30 and then church, but I played kickball that night so I got some form of exercise in. I also did 500 crunches Wednesday night.

Carrying my 20-30 pound backpack around campus, which can be very hilly gets some exercise in as well I think. Oh and I also have to go up and down these stairs lol

Haven't weighed again, but probably will tomorrow or Sunday. Also planning on going on a hike tomorrow... not sure where to though!

I'm up again. My physical activity has gone down a smidge, but I'm trying to make up for it by going outside and doing extra shovelling, ice chipping etc.

Still, I'm up 3 pounds. I haven't really lost much on low-carb, I lost much more when I was on basic calorie-counting and exercising. I'm not sure if it's for me.

I lost nothing this week but also gained nothing. I guess that's not too too bad. I've got a low GI 6 ingredient cookbook I'm going to try out.

Allie, what worked for me was a lower carb but not super low carb and some calorie counting. Not super strict calorie counting but just watching portion sizes and making healthy choices. For the carbs, I allow some whole grains a couple times a week and allow for carrots, etc. I pay more attention to the glycemic load and glycemic index. It's similar to what Miakoda is doing with a insulin resistant type diet.

My work just started covering dieticians and weight watchers through our wellness benefits. I might take that offer up!

That's basically how I lost about 40 lbs....I did eliminate or greatly cut back on a lot of things like pasta, bread, noodles, rice, cereals except oatmeal and less sugary things, although I really have trouble completely eliminating that...such a sweet tooth. I also cut way back on animal fat which I still cut back on...no butter, also no mayo, sour cream, fattening salad dressings, no overly fatty meats. But do have fats that come from things like avocado, nuts, olive or saffola and fish oil. I increased my vegetable consumption many times over and that became the main course of every meal plus smaller serving sizes of lean meat or fish. No processed foods and very little smoked meats because they're full of carcinogens. Also increased fiber over all, not only with more fruits and vegetables, but by adding ground flax and chia seeds, sunflower seeds etc. I estimated the calories too. I didn't make a science out of it, but kept approximate track in my mind. And of course, increased exercise for over all fitness. You'll get back on track. Just do what works for you and don't do anything too radical. Sometimes slower is better and longer lasting.

I use to weight myself every morning and by night, it was always about 3 lbs more. lol. Lately, I hardly weigh myself at all. The last time I weighed myself before this morning was when I took Chulita to the vet's. My scale seems to be 3 lbs off from the doctor's scales and the vet's...it makes it look better. lol. So, I have to add 3 lbs to that. The weight isn't really as indicative as the way my clothes fit. As I exercise more, the muscle weighing more than fat can make the lbs more. So, weight isn't all she wrote.

you guys weigh yourselves too much :) I vary 5 lbs on a daily basis depending on what time I weigh myself.
Totally OT, but I used to help with the weigh-in's for horses at the local fair. One of the guys there would always weigh himself on the horse scale, go take a dump, and come back and weight himself again :rofl1:

And for all those who are losing weight, CONGRATS YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!!

Yeah I vary about 5 lbs depending on the time of day too. I've been trying to weigh myself once a week at the same time of day each week. Of course sometimes I forget and then weigh myself at the end of the day so it's probably not 100% accurate.

I lost 2 lbs the week before, but haven't lost anything this week. But, I started my period this morning (yay, it's been awhile) and feel just bloated and crampy. I'm sure that's part of it.

I started mine yesterday too, which I'm trying to take into account. I guess it's good as I haven't had one in months though.. but ugh... no fun.

This last month I gained almost 3 lbs when TOM was here. I weigh myself every day, and on the day afterwards the scale went -womp- and it went back down.

I weight myself everyday at least...

My reasoning is I fluctuate a lot.. but the lowest number I see keeps going down. How would I know if I lost a pound or two in a week if that day was a slightly higher day? I might have been at my lowest a few days ago, but then be back up on the day I weigh myself....

I do like to weigh myself before bed and then in the morning to see how much I lost sleeping lol.

I admit, I do weigh myself every morning… used to weigh every morning and night! I only "officially" weigh myself once a week, which is Monday's right now, I like the every morning weigh in just keep an eye on how things are going… this week for instance I'm Gonna be over 4 pounds if it keeps up the way it is

Oh and that TOM!? I can gain 4 to 10 pounds overnight! In the past I tracked my weight on a graph and you could see the little spikes and always tell when it had been that TOM :)

I weigh myself daily because I have this period tracker app that asks for weight, temp, and about a million different other thing each day. I've noticed my temperature is usually around 96 most mornings when I get up, and never goes above 98 throughout the day :/
