If is tin, short haired and small is a chi.
If is small brown and furry is a pekinese
If is a white dog with black example a cocker is a dalmation
Also merle dogs are dalmation, I did a painting of a merle rough collie and one of 3 pointers, and people say "wow you love dalmations"

If it's a big black dog it must be a Lab. Well, half right.
How many Labs do you know with four different colors in the coat, glow-in-the-dark eyes, and small pointed ears? That must be a line I haven't known about.
And of course, if there's coloration on the tongue, it must be Chow. And they always say it like they really know what they're talking about.

If it huge, brown and white and it drools, it's Beethoven and your kids are free to run up to it and hug it.

..reminded me of my trip to the vet where I saw a very cute one. But the guy was preening ad nauseum about how "expensive" those doodles are to buy and how there's a "really good" doodle breeder in the area. The dog was REALLY hyper. I'm thinking, holy cannoli, you paid big bucks for a mixed breed.
