Sometimes I just can't believe how awesome people are. One of our clients is taking her dog for surgery at VOSM in MD. Because this is the best surgeon in the country for this problem. We live in MN.

Hank is SO level headed when we are training. It's different. Both papillons get over-excited and frenetic. He is very serious and thoughtful. On one hand, I miss some of the spazziness. On the other hand, the amount of behaviors he is able to pick up in such a short amount of time is amazing. I think because there's no dealing with all the craziness of 'omg omg omg we are training!!!!' that the paps have.

I think he's going to be one of those dogs that makes you look like a much more skilled trainer than you are.

I'm ok with that. :p

Just now noticed that Roxie's getting a bit of "old dog white" on her. Just enough to blur/fuzzy the white markings on her face. She is so freaking cute. I love her so much :)

A good working type (sporting/herding/working ... whatever) will have a good off switch, when work calls, they are on and will be on for as long as you need them for the "job", but once the job is over, they should be able to settle like he dogs ... he seems like an awesome dog! I knew he would be good for you.

Holee Rollers are awesome. Roxie goes mad when I squish it all down and then let it pop up. So freaking cute. She's just like a puppy :)

I know I sound like a broken record but Holy Crap does Hank learn fast. It is blowing me away. He already knows sit, down, leave It, drop, get it, spin, dance, very small stay, nose to hand and now touch with his paw. We've only done a handful of real sessions.

And today on our walk without ANY prompting from me he started sitting when other dogs walk past (he was pulling previously).

Wow read on the shelter I got Hank from that their goal for next year is to get up to a 75% adoption rate for adoptable animals. Makes me wonder what it is right now.

House-sitting for a friend for the next few days.
I totally forgot that her golden retriever Sarah is very leash reactive, and very strong. She's probably a good 80+lbs
I think I'll reconsider walking all 3 together next time lol.

Hanky Pank is going to a barn hunt November 15th! Maybe since I have a terrier (or a half of one... or something...) it will actually go well. :p Mostly just trying to get him out and around 'dog event' type places.

Poor Shrimp has a grotesquely swollen foot. He somehow hurt it yesterday, but was bearing a little weight and itwasnt swollen so I went with resting it today. Suddenly its huge, so off to the vet tomorrow.

Pics or it didn't happen. Need to see some nekkid poodle.

It just occurred to me, just now, when a pitbull-enthusiast friend commented on my video of Brisbane yapping at a lure for all eternity, that just maybe his 1/4 bully blood could be responsible for some of his tenacity on the field.
