There are not many poodles I love but I seriously LOVE your dog. And Wesley. They both seem less like uptight little prissies and more hilarious. Please send me Brooks with that haircut ASAP.

He is a funny guy :) This weekend I had the bright idea to do fall photos, complete with gourd, with both Brooks and the guinea pigs (er...not together...). I had a momentary lapse and did Brooks' photo first. He ate my gourd.

Wesley was sleeping on the floor and Feist tried to come over and lie down next to him, but since she's a weirdo she was moving really slowly (trying not to disturb him based on past experiences of her biting his feet and him jumping six feet in the air ), so he woke up and was just watching her be weird and started poodlecrying and ran away. I do not blame him. :rofl1:

Yesterday was Nina's birthday.

Coincidentally, I stumbled over the first collar I bought her as my dog, under my desk.
I'm still so sorry about Melle.(((HUGS)))

Because it wouldn't have been the right fit.

I had the opportunity to adopt a extremely well bred 10 week old American Bulldog puppy who had congenital ME, but was easily managed like Cynder is. I had Michael's blessing, all I had to do was say, "Yes, I will see you tomorrow" to the breeder.

I decided not to adopt the puppy. Not because of the ME, not because of the breed, but because after thinking about it, another large breed dog with the potential for breed restrictions is not really what I want. Would it have worked out? Probably. Do I wish I had a third do as a playmate for Abrams? Yes. But...my gut just told me it wasn't right, so I listened to my gut.
When I read this, for some reason, something just clicked,& just really made me consider if a dog would be a proper fit,& that would be a no. It's almost like I don't want a dog right now, but, it isn't that. Its not I don't want a dog, it's just this "feeling" that I wouldn't do good with a dog at this time in my
life.

The people who we were looking to get a Pug from, were definitely a breeder I'd never go too. No health testing, no titles, poor conformation, a useless contract, I believe no pedigree's. All they had, from what I remember was that they were registered with the AKC, which is worth close to nothing, for me.

I'd LOVE having a dog right now, LOVE. But, it just won't be the right fit. Most of the people in my family have a little knowledge on dogs in general,& it could lead to issues. I want to go to college, but, I'm not sure if they'd keep up with the dogs upkeep.

As for now, I can droll over,& stalk peoples dogs on here.;) And, yes imagine,& fantasize about having a dog. But... I can also gain a lot of information from here, to help me steer myself in the right direction. Hopefully, I can meet some of you down the road.

Juno's rebound is actually a lot more painful than Cajun's ever was. I did not think this was possible. I thought Juno would be graceful and light. My leg bruises had finally went away, and now they're back!

Yes, Juno now has a passable rebound. As of yesterday. Not bad considering our starting point was her not wanting to make any attempt to put her feet on me, since that would usually be classified as an illegal move.

She gets like NO AIR though and just hits me on my thighs basically, where Cajun pretty much rebounds off my face. I like the flash and enthusiasm from Cajun but good God it's a bit frightening. Juno's tameness is more my speed sometimes lol.

Hank swims!!!!!

Well, it is more like he belly flops into the water then bites the water then runs around like a lunatic then repeats it all.

Hank likes water!!!!

I'm so thrilled.

It's ridiculous how good this feels! LOL When I learned Merlin loved water I was so happy! Opens the world to so many new activities and makes them so tired!

About HANK(181678)-Woof!

What a beautiful dog! Hank is a small (16 pound) 9 month old Heeler mix. He has the cute perky ears and merle coat of a Heeler. You can see his cute short tail too. Hank has a fun personality! He likes to run and play and also enjoys lots of cuddle-time. Hank likes dogs of all sizes. He's a good boy!
^^^ That's the description that did me in. I still have NO idea what it was that made me have to go meet him. I'm glad I did.

Took Jari and Kimma on a long hike in a local state park today. Jari did so well in terms of his reactivity, and he was AWESOME during a long line training session afterwards. Beautiful heelwork, stays, recalls.... Oh if this is a peek in to what he's going to be once he's fully mature then YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

Waiting to hear back from a rescue but Penn may be a foster sister soon LOL! We 100% won't be keeping the dog but there aren't many dogs who need foster homes around& a little wire haired pointing griffon just came up about ~6hrs from here. Good test run for Penn to have to share her existence with another dog ahah

We had a couple new dogs in Walter's agility class last night and one of them decided that he did not like Walter. He ran up to Walter barking and growling after going through the tunnel. I tightened up my hold on Walter's leash to keep him close to me and I body blocked the other dog as best I could until the owner could grab him. We got back in line to go through again and another dog started growling at Walter. I felt so bad for him. I heard another person in line say, "Oh, poor Walter!". Of course he bounced back from all this really well, but I felt so bad that he had such rough time at class. Class is supposed to be fun. After class he played with another Aussie for a couple minutes so he didn't leave class on a sour note, but I'm still bummed about the whole situation. I'm pretty sure Walter is unfazed by the whole ordeal, so next class I need to make sure my reaction to it doesn't cause problems.

Yorkie mix pup (~1yr) brought in to the clinic today, hit by car. A client saw her get hit, so she stopped and picked her and the dog she was with up. No chip. No collar. The other dog had a collar, but no ID. Covered in fleas and mats. Animal control came and picked up the healthy dog (also a small poodle type mix), but we're keeping the Yorkie for now. If she recovers (suspect broken jaw and blood in the lungs due to the trauma) and her owner doesn't come forward, I may have a new foster dog until shes healthy enough to be placed. *shakes head* She grabbed my heart when she wagged her tail at me when I set my hand on her head, even though she couldn't move, could barely breathe, and was in a lot of pain.

But maybe someone is frantic to find her. I hope so. She deserves an owner who appreciates her.

Not exactly dog related, but my order of day old chicks came today, and Felony gobbled one up! I did have to cut it in half for her, but she ate the entire thing. Not bad for a 12 week old kitten who has never done whole prey.

Can you bring a crate for Walter to wait in between his turns? I rarely let my dogs be held on leash around other dogs running agility, unless I know the group well (or at trials where I think there's a pretty good chance the dogs aren't going to leave the ring). Classes/seminars - they are crated if they aren't running. Even if I'm the only one who brings in a crate.
