Count me amongst the skeptics. I was on pins and needles though as many of the military wives thought that it was going to be about going into Libya. PHEW!

This guy has been living in a freaking MANSION in Pakistan. And we couldn't find him until now? :nono:
A lot of those mansions are locked compounds. If he almost never left . . . how would we know? Unless someone talked, which, obviously, someone eventually did.

But yeah, I actually thought he'd die before we found him.

Same. I doubt it made much difference to him if he actually is dead. He lived a long happy life.

Lol at people (in the world) thinking one man alone is responsible for all terrorism of the modern day. Lol at them for thinking this will suddenly change anything....

Because radical groups just split up and go back to their day jobs in McDonald's when they're leader is allegedly killed :D

"hey man, the boss is dead... phew now I can concentrate on becoming a milkman, my lifelong dream"

He's responsible for orchestrating 911 but it was pointed out by a newsman or somebody that though we can celebrate, there's an ever-present need for vigilance. I don't think people think he's the only terrorist. They all hate us. There may well be retaliation.

My daughter texted me last night...wrote, "Osama is dead." But...I misread it and thought it said, "Obama is dead." I had a sinking, sick feeling and texted back, "OMG, WTF? How very sad." She wrote back, "Whaaaa???" Then I turned on the news and called her back. We had a good laugh over that one.

I heard it all over facebook last night. My step dad is in the army here at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. He said the lines are INSANE right now to get on base because they're on high alert and worried about retaliation. He said it might or might not get ugly here soon, but for the time being it's going to be hell on base.

I don't think that many people believe this. However, he did plan terrorist attacks that caused the deaths of thousands of innocents and was still important to extremists as a figure head.

I was brought up to only speak good of the dead. Fine.

Same here lol

I think its a little scarier that he's dead, and that the others might feel a need to retaliate, because he hasn't been doing anything the last couple years right?

9-11 was a one time thing for him, at least to my knowledge. The idea of was freaks me out, and I really don't want the other terrorists to feel a need to retaliate

Am I the only one thinking that this is just little strange timing after the air strikes in libya killed members of gaddafi's family? I have a feeling that this was uses to spread hope in the American mission- and another war. I dunno, maybe I put my conspiracy hat on too tightly... but this is just weird.
