Where did I say anything about breeding or intelligence?

I think people just need to be careful of the propaganda they choose to believe.... He wasn't made into a figure head of all that is evil for nothing. You don't honestly believe ONE man alone was behind all those things do you?
No you didnt say that but others have, thats why i didnt quote you directly when i posted that.

I dont think anyone has said he was the lone guy and that this is a magical fix. But you also cant ignore the influence he had not to mention the money to fund it.

I still remember the dancing, cheering people in other countries when the towers fell, and how great of a day it was to them.
Yah, I'm glad we got rid of this monster and no I don't believe he was the only one responsible but I hope that his death brings a bit of peace to those who's lives he shattered.

this

AND if other countries feel that way about our troops well that is most certainly their right to feel however they want. Just like it's ours to feel however each individual feels about this situation

I worry how many more will be shattered because of it. In a culture where harm to yourself is considered martyrdom there are no lengths people will go to to exact what they feel is justice for his death.

Where do people want this to stop? Till we wipe each other out?

If we're to fear any counter action they might do in retaliation then they win, they live to terrorize, they are terrorist, after all. They already hate Americans just for being Americans, living the way we do. What did we do to cause 9/11?

I don't think they hate you for 'just being Americans'... in the slightest!!!

Do people really think that?

See your country through their eyes. Put yourself in the shoes of an Iraqi boy who doesn't have access to outside news. ALL he sees is the destruction caused by a war against people in his country who come from outside, and have been in his country for his entire life. Death, bombs, destruction. It's pretty easy to turn to radical measures when you grow up in that.

I think to ask what you did to cause 9/11 is an EXTREMELY loaded question.

Well, it seems, to Osama we didn't meet his political needs. He was pretty happy with us while the Russians were there.

There is a difference between a civilian and a military target. Likewise, there is a difference between cheering for bloodshed and cheering because your country had a military victory.

We didn't do anything to "cause" 9/11; that's pushing cause and effect well beyond any reasonable bounds. But Dizzy is right. They don't hate us because of our freedoms, or our way of life. To be sure, they hold both in contempt, but they would not have attacked us over either. Nor do they really hate us for our wealth.

What they do hate us for is our power and our willingness to use that power to interfere in their countries, to support rulers that they oppose. Its really no secret what it was about, although there are lots of other political issues involved. But in the end, its because they felt that American power was being used against them and their interests. This is not to express sympathy with them. Although I agree in many cases those rulers were tyrants, Islamists did not have the answer either.

But as someone just pointed out, there are two sides. We are not pure good, and although they were very evil, they were not utterly without some claim to having been wronged. If we had not interfered in the Middle East, they would have left us alone. Again, I'm not saying this to blame America, just to point out that the motivations of the 9/11 terrorists were a lot more complex, and frankly made a lot more sense, than what you usually hear.

A hole in the bottom of the sea.
So I'm curious Dizzy, what do YOU think our response to terrorists should be? Do you think that the US should have ignored 9/11? Should we have asked Osama and his people for a list of demands, and then met each and every one? Should we allow our foreign policy to be manipulated by the whims of extremist movements?

And, for the record, "other countries" did not celebrate when the towers fell. The radicals, extremists did. Not other countries.
