My OB never recommended any ped to me, and if he had.. well, I really disliked him, so not sure I would have gone to someone he recommended anyway! Lol. I've still got to find a new GYN too, since I need a check up in April for my Mirena?
Yup, I've already searched Dr. Sears site, as well as many natural family forums that have forums based on location. I was recommended to the family doc, but didn't feel comfortable with him, and that is why we are looking again. Like I said, I don't need a doctor that is supportive or agrees, just someone that knows how to treat others respectfully. I've already been recommended to a doc that I've been told will be supportive of our choice, but I'd really prefer a ped, so I'll put up with a little more to see a ped. But if all else fails, we can go to the family doctor we were recommended to. And no matter what insurance we were on, we'd still have this problem of finding a doc that will see us. It really has nothing to do with Medicaid.
Mason's first ped seemed nice, although she had objections to some of our parenting choices. So I'm thinking about giving her a second try, since she never actually kicked us out or say anything bad. She didn't seem like the type to attack us, and I had called and asked her nurse of they'd accept us. She said yes, we'll just have to sign a form. I know she won't agree, but I think she might actually still treat us with respect. IF so, smooth sailing!
As far as exemptions go- There was a case with the US Supreme Court that ruled that a religious belief is subject to protection even if no religious group as a whole that holds that belief.
