You guys are killing me over here, LOL. I work around 60 hour a week with really unpredictable "go home" times. Normally I'd just be like "oh, the bf will take him out" but he's not very good at training and this pup has BIIIIIIIIG pawprints to follow. I just can't help but remember how much time I was able to spend with Sawyer when I first got him and how that really helped to shape our relationship. Plus, I think I'd end up single if I brought home another animal right now to our 7th story, 570sq ft apartment.

But puuuuupppy....
I don't know how old he is, but would it be possible for the breeder to hold him a couple extra weeks if that made it easier since he's not so itty-bitty and needy?

Do it. I take my puppy to work, leave him in the car the majority of the day. It works well for us.

No time is ever perfect.

You are being offered a great situation with the breeder. Who says when you are ready that a puppy will be there.

Do it and make it work.

Oh for ****'s sake. Get the goddamned puppy.

I will be home Tuesday night. We were planning to hang out Wednesday, but we can go get the puppy, too. Getting puppies counts. Baking cupcakes could also count.

Taking puppy and cupcake photos and posting them on Chaz? UM, YES.

Zoom, on one hand I'm saying get the cutie. On the other hand which is the logical one right now, I'm saying think smartly about this. You say you work 60 hours, live on the 7th floor in a small apartment, your boyfriend is not one to do the training necessary as you wood, and then people say to keep the pup in your car. You do live in Denver with harsh winters. How do people think the pup is going to stay warm in a car in freezing temps?

It's up to you, but look into your heart and also your mind and think this through carefully.

I'm going to agree with Barb on this one. Of course I want to see you with this adorableness flufferball. But.... Definitely weigh the pros and cons and make sure that whatever decision you make is fair to both you, your boyfriend and new pup. I don't know how comfortable I would be leaving my dog in the car when I'm at work. But that's just me. Is there anyway to keep a crate somewhere at work for the pup so you can do potty breaks and stuff? A new puppy is going to disrupt your life a lot... Not necessarily in a bad way, but make sure that's a disruption you are ready for right now. I'm not saying don't get the pup. But.... Definitely weigh the pros and cons before making any decision. But if you do get the pup I demand LOTS of pics.

HE SAID OK!!!!!

So on the days where it's super cold/hot, then obviously Puppy is going to be staying home...although he is going to have a TON of coat. I think with the car in the sun and some fleece blankets and Sawyer with him, he'd be ok?

I know it'll be a huge adjustment--I've applied for a job with less crazy hours, so if I get that it'll help a lot but otherwise...I'll figure it out. Somehow.

Also, he's currently named Felix. Momma is named Cat and Daddy is Dozer (aka DOH!zer)...ideas?

Yay!!!!

My girls spend an insane amount of time in the car and it gets quite cold during the winter here. They have little coat, so I pile up a ton of super warm blankets in their crates, put easy to rip off coats on them (in case they get caught), park in the sun and check on them often. They do fine!

Fox, his name should be Fox.
