Robin~Take it from someone who has JUST NOW gone through the entire breeding process. DO NOT BREED YET!
My breeding was an accident, BUT, I did always expect to breed-one day.
The one day came quicker then I expected, and yes, I too caught crap everywhere I went. The only difference??I have pitbulls.
Anyway, my litter was whelped. I had 8 beautiful babies. Well, wasnt long when I lost one due to aspiriating fluids while nursing(going in his lungs) and another has a HUGE overbite. Love him to death, otherwise absolutly perfect, but I am keeping him, he has a genetic problem, I brought him here like that, I am responsible now for the rest of my life for him. Who knows what medical problems he may endure??? Another, Daizy, well, read the other post titled "Numb" and you will see my perdicament with her. There is puppy #2 I am keeping.I currently have 2 pitbulls and two peke as well. I will have 7 dogs in my house to take care of. Because the wrong thing happened, I have got to be responsible, and look at me now. I love them and thank GOD every minute I got a chance to know these bugers, but the next 15 years or so, well, dont ask me out, Im too busy!(just as my kids are gettin gold enough to leave!!!)
It is alot of work, but not as easy as you think. You fall in love so hard, you dont want to give them up.
Wait, read, learn, then make a decision.
Not to mention what you will be putting momma through, man, the pain is almost intolorable to watch.
