Yes, nerdy moment here.

I'm playing an old video game and there's a dog in it. I SWEAR it looks like an aussie but they say it's a border collie/gsd mix. What do you think?

If it was a BC/GSD wouldn't it have a tail?

Yes, I know... totally random and pointless question.

Looks like an Aussie to me!

I've never played that game but my husband has and he said it looks like an Aussie too....... And he's not very good with dog breeds! :rofl1:

I've always thought Angelo was an Aussie, too. She doesn't look gsd/bc at all... especially since she doesn't have a tail.

Nope, I always thought Angelo was an Aussie...

And now I want to play the game again. Thanks a lot! I don't have enough memory space on my PSP for it and Kingdom Hearts! LOL

I DL'd it on my PS3. We have the PS1 version but our PS2 is not working so I never got to finish playing it.

I also bought VII and IX. Nerd. It's taking all I have not to replay VII...

I have VII and IX for my PS2 and I'm currently playing IX. LOVE IT. ^_^ I downloaded VIII onto my PSP because since I'm frequently on the go I wanted to have a game I could play when I'm killing time in town. (How sad is that?)

I never finished VII, which is pretty sad as I love it. I got towards the end one time, but then I got stuck in a tunnel because I couldn't beat the **** Turks (I had botched the leveling up of my party). Now I get so far and then I'm just not motivated to finish it. I really need to.

I really want to get VI? The one with Kefca. It looks epic. I've also played IV (and again, got very close to beating it once), but I lost my save data and I can't get in to it now because the plot line is the exact same as one of the Fire Emblem games and knowing the entire story takes all of the fun out of it. Besides that, I don't like Cecil. He annoys me. Kind of like FFX.

Me too! Most of my PS1 games are still at my parents house (my sister plays them still) so I love being able to DL games to my PS3.

I was painting, but I'm waiting for my canvas to dry and Ian is playing the PS3 right now... I think I'm going to restart VII tonight... I wanted to play it last night and I think I need to give in to my dorky urges tonight.

Really? I liked that one.

The plot line is the same as II for SNES, but I know it was changed a bit for the DS. It's harder than the old II. Pretty sure I beat it on a plane trip, which is where I normally play my DS. I actually really like it on the DS and bought it when it first came out. It was the first FF game I ever played, and beat it when I was 6-7 years old.

Which FE game?

I think I need to finish VIII then either play IX for the first time or replay VII... I love that they're only $10 too for the PS3. Buying VII is like $90 on amazon.

I love you nerds. :D

Oh, I don't know...the one for the GBA. Eirika and Ephraim...a demon takes over the body of a peaceful emperor/prince and starts going around destroying lands and stealing crystals. Eirika and co. go along and fight evil monsters and enemy soldiers and defeat said possessed prince/king. I <3 it. LOL

I'm sure I'll eventually play IV again, just because my goal is to play and beat all of them. I just doubt I'll get in to it the same way I did the others. VII, IX, and XII are by far my favorites. X and IV not so much (still good games in their own right...just not my favorites), and I liked VIII. But VII, IX, and XII are the ones I really got in to - my sister is amused by me when I play them, because of how into the games I get. I still want to play VI and XIII, and then V.

And you have to love games with dialouge like this:
Freya: The smell of fire... And blood! There must have been a huge battle on the other side of that gate...
Quina: Something smell bad. I get bad feeling! Flower smell good! You smell flower!
Freya: Quina does whatever s/he feels like doing. I must learn from his ways.
Zidane: I don't think it's intentional, Freya.
Freya: No, if I had done as I pleased, I would've been...
Quina: Zidane, this flower taste good!
Zidane: See what I mean?
Freya: But still... Let's go! Burmecia is just ahead!
Dammit Jim! I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker!
Moguta: I'm kupo for kupo nuts!
''Farewell my sweet lovable morons!''
:rofl1:

I need to get back in to playing that...I just haven't had any time.

Oooh have you played the one before that one? With Eliwood and Hector? that FE is the best by FAR. It's hard to find now and rather expensive but it's so good.

My favorite moment was in VII when cloud finds the orthopedic underwear. VII is hilariously off color. Of course the cross dressing part is also amusing.

Lmao, so this is totally not dog talk anymore. :lol-sign:
