Southern Ontario here. It's windy and rainy but not as much as they're hyping it up to be.

Obi's manners class was just cancelled though. Seriously?

Wind is picking up here as Caliterp already stated. About to take the dogs out one more time and then time to stay bunkered down and wait this thing out. Supposedly its supposed to get much worse here this evening. Few trees down already and hoping my car doesn't end up getting hit by a tree. I live in a foresty spot so there are trees everywhere and they are all starting to blow more. The wind keeps getting rough and then slowing down and then picking back up again.

Yeah I'm seeing horrifying pictures pop up online... Here it's just wind and rain so far. Pretty strong gusts that are making the roof creak, but that's it... for now. The center is supposed pass 20 miles south of us or something. I'm so glad we live 35 miles from the coast.

Water is leaking through the walls into the house in spots. That's not good. This is a log cabin home and not sure when they recaulked it last.

power and internet are both flicking on and off here. We have a generator. I'm just hoping some friend's houses don't flood (already water in the basements/yards) and the businesses sustain minimal damage.

Trees and powerlines down everywhere here. Flooding is getting worse and further inland.

This is really bad. Is there a shelter or something you can go to?
Not sure in this area and you need your vet records to get into one with dogs anyways. It's only in a couple areas and it's in the kitchen the floor above us. I'm going to keep an eye on it.

I think water coming through the walls/ceiling is less of a concern than flooding.

Hurricane Irene we had a ton of water come in through the ceiling. That was the worst damage, though.

Spending the hurricane listening to my parents make racist and homophobic comments about everyone they show on the news and my brother screaming at me for existing. I want to leave but I don't think it's safe anymore, power lines and trees down everywhere, roads flooded.

I would go hole myself up in my room and sleep :(

wind is starting to kick up here--will see how bad it gets. Power outages seem to be the biggest concern in our area--time will tell. Stay safe everyone.

On a brighter note, I got a living social deal in my email today for an overnight stay on Jersey Shore. I found it pretty amusing.

A bit over one hour until it lands.
