Circumcision as a criminal act

This has been an interesting read. My head is spinning from reading this thread. Circumcision, spaying, neutering, ear cropping, abortion, tail docking all in one thread. lol :lol-sign: People will inevitably have viewpoints that seem hypocritical to others.

May I ask how old the boy was when he did have it done?

He was a teen. I watched him when he was a younger boy, his was not retracted as far as I know,but I don't know that much about retracting and not.

I'm not saying infants don't feel pain, but they don't remember that pain when they are 20 yrs old.

I think in the end it is a personal choice, and even though alot may not agree to have it done, the right should not be taken away from those that do wish to have it done.

No, they don't, I agree. But it's not the pain involved that's the biggest issue.

What really tugs my chain...erm, so to speak...are the mothers who project their own personal preferences in a sex partner onto their sons. Pardon me for being graphic, but unless that mother is planning to have sex with her son, what do their pleasurable sexual experiences (and, again, most women in the US have never had anything to compare to and are making broad assumptions) have to do with whether their child is cut or not?

Agreed, that is very freaky. What I found highly disturbing was how obsessed my in-laws, especially my MIL was with their grandson being circumcised. If I'd had my way, I wouldn't have even answered their question when they asked if it was being done but their father told them we weren't. They. Flipped. Out. Phone call after phone call, over and over, yelling and lecturing into the evenings. In the end the only rationale she could come up with was, "he'll be embarrassed in the locker room."

Riiiight. It was really creepy. Especially since she's NEVER EVER going to see his privates because she doesn't even change his diapers. EVER.

I have to take offense that all mothers and doctors of uncircumcised boys forcibly retract the foreskin out of ignorance. I never once did, nor would I have. My doctor explained it all anyway. Give some people credit.

The whole "I'm against and I'm right because I have been shown the truth, and you're for it just because you're ignorant and perverted" argument is only going to make people ignore you or walk away from you in disgust. You want respect and for people to hear you out? Then offer the same courtesy. You're quick to discount and try to disprove studies proving opposite of your belief, yet you want the opposition to blindly accept your reasoning and the findings of your supportive studies.

I like to take the middle ground and educate myself from all sides. Then I make my own educated decision. But don't make assumptions about why i made that choice.

And, again, it baffles me that I would have the ok to have had Cole aborted through a partial-birth abortion, but those people would want me brought up on criminal charges fir having him circumcised. If the boy has the right to make decisions about his own body, then ask him if he'd like to live or die instead of making that choice for him.

But then again, I'm just some ignorant fool who cut off my son 's foreskin because I'm too dumb to know any better, as well as being to preoccupied about him in a sexual nature.

I don't really care either way and will not ever have to make this decision, but reading this thread...I think I'm leaning towards uncircumcised if I did have to make that decision. Although I really don't think it should be legislated.

I'll be sure to not pass this along to those I know who have cut penis'. Seems much too unfair. I mean, I know I feel great when my height is commented on, or my mousey brown hair, god forbid someone comment on my labia being too long or too short and "yucky", I'm not quiet sure how I'd recover.

Yet everyone who commented that a natural, normal penis is gross is totally cool? Double standards much? When it comes to peni I prefer mine unmutilated.

I haven't spotted anything except "I have only dealt with" or "I prefer" Not "Yucky!" Which is not a simple "to each his own" but a "that penis is wrong and gross" statement.

Just to make sure I understand exactly where you stand on the issue, are you pro-choice when it comes to female circumcision as well?

I'm sorry your post was the only one addressed then, I'm not a moderator so I'm not good and being fair across the board here.

What you say here is much more fair, the act of mutilation is gross and you prefer natural parts. It's far less insulting to someone with a cut, maybe not by choice, pen.

We should all know how many emotions can be tied with insults to our sexes, some sensitivity is always a kind favor IMO.

I don't know what choice I would make if I were to have a baby boy. I'd probably let dad decide.

I've also never seen a cut penis that was hard and white... well not that kind of hard LOL

I'm definitely not for more legislation though.
