Good for you, take those naps while you can! That's the best advice I always thought was crazy, until I had a baby. Sleep when the baby sleeps. Then I had Cadie, when Maggie was 3, no more naps. "Mama, are you sleeping?"

One is SO much easier. Babies are hard work lol. But wouldn't trade either one of them for anything. As I'm sure you know EXACTLY what that feels like now.
breeze... if you're getting cracked and really sore on your nipples you might want to be sure you're getting her latched on properly. If she just latches on to the tip of the nipple you want to break that seal and latch her on again. Get as much of the nipple/aerola in her mouth as possible. And definately use the lanolin after you nurse her. Breastfeeding can be "uncomforatable" but should not be actually "painful". Goodluck!
And tanya is right.. soak your bottom in a nice warm bath a few times a day if you can. Just plain warm water will be fine. It helps get the blood flow to the damaged skin and promotes skin granulation which is want you want for healing. Keep using your epifoam and tucks pads. And remember to blot, don't wipe the area.

OHHH i love those things they are gods gift to the world LOL.
Shes latching on right and it doesnt hurt its just like u said uncomfortable. Especially with the washcloth trying to keep her awake LOL. Is it normal to want to fall asleep while nursing?
YES... very normal for them to want to fall asleep during nursing.
Babies sleep SO much... and think about it. You have them cuddled against you... their favourite place to be, it's safe and most of all it's warm... and the heat is enough to lull them to sleep.
Wait... I just realized what you meant lol. is it normal for YOU to want to fall asleep.
and the answer to that is also YES lol. it's very normal. It's hard work on your body, it releases endorphines and lots of feel good things lol. it's is very normal to become drowsy and sleepy while breastfeeding.

I was very very lucky when i fell asleep with my baby girl at home in bed. I was nursing, i woke up and she was no longer beside me. In fact she wasn't on the bed at all. She had FALLEN into the laundry basket beside the bed and landed FACE UP. SHe was fast asleep on a stack of clean diapers and baby clothes. PLEASE do not nurse in bed. I was lucky, i could have just as easily been a mourning new mother that made a very bad mistake.

oh i am smkie the minute she moves im up. and i always make sure shes in the middle of the bed and that there is something there to block her. Right now its painful to even sit down long enough to go to the bathroom. Or to even sit in the bed.
