    "Tired Dog" picture

Thanks GlassOnion. My software deletes most spyware as it occurs and then runs at night to delete any that slipped by, so I don't give it much thought. I will be more careful going forward.:p

Thanks Boxer Mom, but why the concern on links? Spyware and such? Second, how did you bring the picture over?

    For Diarreah...

I use boiled chicken and plain cooked oatmeal. He loves it. The problem I then have is reintroducing the dog food.

    Humorous email

I received this email yesterday and it was good for a laugh. The following ad actually ran in The Atlanta Journal and is reported to have received numerous calls: SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good looking girl who LOVES to play. I love...

    Abused dog.

I had the same experience with my Malamute. He was distrustful of everyone. When the guys came over to watch football or hockey and it got loud, he would run and hide as well. What I did was have the guys feed him some treats. Now he trusts everyone.

    Neighbor's Dogs

Keep using the anti-infection spray, but if it is a bite mark the infection will get in the blood stream as the teeth of the other dog sink well below the surface. As for the fence issue, I would hope under the circumstances it wouldn't be an issue. If at all possible, try to get a quick fix on...

    Neighbor's Dogs

The hot spot you mention may indeed be a bite mark and it may have abscessed. Chaz was recently attacked and I checked him out when we got home. He was sore but seemed OK. A week later I was petting him and his fur was all clumped. I cut the fur away and there was an abscess about the size of a...

    Short Term Memory??

CreatureTeacher's comments are accurate as well as humorous. Dog's "learn" by repetition in conjunction with their natural instincts. That's why we reward them with a treat for good behavior. We all make the mistake of believing our dogs understand the word "sit" etc. They don't, they know the...

    Midnight potty trips

Most dog's can last at least 8 hours before relieving themselves. I also have a rescue dog. When I first brought him home, I would let him out before bed. Two hours later he would be barking for me to let him out. After a few nights, I would let him out and stand watch to see what he was doing...

I have 12 month old GSD and he pulls me so strong all the time

I thought that I would add my 2 cents on prong collars. I have an Alaskan Malamute which were bred for sledding. I got him from the Humane Society at about 2 years old. I have no history on him, so I don't know if he was trained for sledding by his previous owner. I tried the choke chain on him...

    Overweight Dog!

Here's a link to an article on overweight dogs http://www.dogdaypets.com/articles/article/2449911/34552.htm. You mention that your dog is in a crate all day, however, you don't mention whether you take him for walks. Just like people, dogs need excercise to burn the calories.

    My doggie's ears

That might be it. Ear Mites cause a black wax to form in the ears. I believe its easy to fix.

My Malamute was attacked by a Rottie

Yeah , I've thought of a few things to use like that. It's just the one dog. The rest of the dogs in the neighborhood bark when we go by, but when they meet they just sniff and get to know each.:o) Animal Control just called and they're heading over there now. As long as they keep the dog tied...

My Malamute was attacked by a Rottie

Exactly, these people that want a "tough" dog. It goes to show you that dogs do mimic there owners. If the owner's an idiot, the dog will be too.
