in our home now we have a few..... LOL
Up with us:
Teddy--- (FIL's Chow? Mix) he was a shelter rescue, likely an unwanted accident.....
Mindy--- She was bred by a BYB who had no idea what she had, her stud dog was very well bred and considering I had no idea at the time I was very lucky to get her! She was registered as an adult with the JRTCA/CC She went on to be an awesome performance dog, has worked in the field and is an amazing companion
Diamond--- Di was from the first litter I bred as a breeder, she was intended to be the start of my kennel.... She won her conformation class at the JRTCC nationals against some top breeders! I was thrilled.... In the end, I am so relived that I did not have 3 litters from her, she had CERF'd clear every year but at 6 was hit with sudden onset cataracts and went totally blind... FAST!!
Molly-- BYB who planned to bred her.... :yikes: she weights 2.5 lbs!!!! Then came in to my work one day and mentioned she had not been able to sell her and was moving the next week, she was going to put her in a shelter! I took her that day, at work.... And she has been with us ever since....
Other half of the house:
Foster-- Well, he was a Foster we took in, his heritage is unknown, his Mom was found pregnant running the streets in an area known to have Mennonite puppy mills, his Mom was a poorly bred Golden and when Fosters little was born, it was not too hard to figure our they were likely Puppy mill GoldenDoodles and somehow the Dam had escaped.... We even named him Foster... Because we were NOT keeping him... :rofl1: I don't even bother trying to foster anymore.... LOL ( You had to see him as a pup, major major cute....)
Monty-- My daughter and her husbands dog, BYB Dachshund......
Whew that was long.... LOL
