I don't know why my dogs were bred honestly.

Buster came out of a free ad from a litter of hound puppies. I am not sure it was accidental or not but he is a mix of two coonhounds and his parents were from hunting lines but he is a pet and doesn't have the drive most hounds do.

Rudy, not sure why. Probably to produce cute puppies. He is the most sensitive dog I have ever owned. I wonder what his parents temperaments were like, but he was abused so young so we took him.

Dixie, not sure probably also to produce cute puppies. She was a rescue and has a very sound temperament.

I am guessing T-Bone and her littermates were an ooops litter because they were abandoned in an old building that was going to be torn down :(

Given where she came from, I assume either an oops, hunting, or money. Who knew such a brilliant dog would appear from that?!

No clue, I don't even know where she came from prior to animal control. I've considered calling, I think they'd remember her because they had her for 3 months because one of the the employees fell in love with her and couldn't put her down. So I'd think at least that employee would remember her, and know where she came from? I'd like to know if she was a stray, a surrender, or what...

no idea for any of the bullies. money? accident? who knows.

steve was bred for sport, specifically flyball, though a number of the litter went to agility homes.

Know idea with Blackie. I'm assuming money, as he was purebred as far as we could tell, but he was dumped off when he hit psycho-adolescent-lab-puppy stage.

Rose was an oops. Someone dumps off an in heat girlie into your yard with your intact lab and wahlah! Two months later you have puppies.

Chloe was...just sheer laziness. They had two intact farm dogs and ever heat the girl came in to they bred. I think Chloe's litter was her third or fourth litter, and then she was hit and killed by a car.

Kharma was bred for me :) And because Judy really wanted one more Gamble litter to continue her breeding program, although she said she might not have had that last litter from Gamble had it not been for the fact that I really wanted another one after Buffy.

Bimmer? I'm assuming he was the result of some diabolically sneaky parents, lol.

I have some ideas on Tallulah, given the various bits and pieces the techs at the vet's office let slip, along with the reactions she evokes from the right people . . .

Arnold and Shamoo, I dunno... Money, Pets, Just because?

Sloan was bred to be a specific attempt at a sport quality Malinois that can also make it as a pet, she's a pretty good achievement of the goal sans her extreme house guarding sensitivities. I don't mind them, I enjoy a real world dog but I assume it would be difficult if I constantly had family and friends in and out of the house.

Backup is born and bred Schutzhund. He shows it through and through.

Jude was bred to go to pet homes- but active pet homes who involved their pets in activities and recreational sports. Pet basically though :)

Argon was bred because his hussy of a mother leaned out her dog house at a passing whippet and called 'Hello Sailor!'

Strider was bred because his breeder was shooting for a specific combination of lines. He turned out pretty nice. :)

Kaia was bred for show and for a different specific combination of lines. Some day when she has her own litter, it will be to further that line.

Unfortunately Bernie was a product of greed. In Moosonee where he was rescued from, there is a bounty on the tail of dogs killed and dropped off at the dog dump. Yes sirreee..you too can get $80 for a dead dog tail. Apparently, the original intention of the Governments action plan was to cull the packs of dropped off, stray, homeless dogs running wild on the reserves and surrounding area. Put two and two together= many dogs being bred for the outstanding reward of a couple of cases of beer, and sled money. Yes, this is still going on, and yes pups and dogs are still being rescued whenever possible. What a waste, what a crime.

All in all Bernie is a great dog, with an affinity for snowmobiles, independence, and his Dave. I wanted a dog, Dave got one LOL!

Jackson was bred for NO reason other than a single mother needing a little extra money so decided to have puppies, lol. Oh well, he was bred for me. :)

Quinn was bred just to be a good all around farm and companion dog. Most of her breeder's puppies go on to just be pets, although there are several that do agility, flyball, herding, and one (that I know of) does tracking.

Dally was bred by a very well known and respected ACD breeder here, who both shows and works her dogs.

All of my dogs come from breeders who breed for show and performance quality dogs. Most of my Doberman breeder's puppies just end up going to pet homes, though. Most of Dance's breeder's puppies appear to go to show homes or performance homes at the very least, though she does sell to pet homes as well if she deems a puppy to be pet quality.

Emma - I assume money since she was a pet store puppy.

Jazz - Well she was bred as a show dog, and to make money. Her breeder is a glorified BYBr. He has gone downhill ALOT since Jazz, and he wasnt the greatest to begin with.

Solo - stirctly a show dog. Her litter has been breaking all kinds of breed and all breed records, so the plan worked out great. :)

Roman was bred as a working or sport dog. I know that at least one of his siblings is working as a police dog.

Hailey was bred as a pet.
Petie and Bobbi were bred as pets, they turned out to be very good at hunting (working), performance and major cuddlers.
Sprout was acutally from an accidental breeding but came from performance dogs that have also worked, she does both :)
Kiah was bred as a working terrier (although her pedigree is full of performance dogs or dogs that have produced some serious performance dogs, along with more than a few working conformation champions as well. Pedigree is also full of Bronze Medallion working terriers JRTCA).
Who was bred to be a performance and working terrier along with being my second heart dog. She is being started in performance first and then we'll see how she does in the working field.
