I am a Christian ...a believer of the trinity . I went to church weekly in High school, plus Sunday school...( Church of England, which is low Espicopal here ) At least 2 times a month in college and up until we moved into the country and had our 3 children. With Tom working 6 days a week, Sunday was our only day all together. It bothered me, but during one of our minister's visits ( he loved to visit me since I knew how to brew a good cup of tea!) I told him how much it bothered me.....we were sitting out on the patio and he looked at the sky, the beautiful woods and me children and said, as long as you talk to Him , as this here is His temple too ....

P.S..... I don't put down other religions though ..... even though Jews don't believe in Christ, He was a jew and I admire the strength and commitments they have from the Old Testament.

Huh? I'm not trying to be mean. I'm saying that I think it's nice that god has helped you

This is a loaded question, it falls under the 'are you democrate or republican, or how much money you make' categories. I really don't think its anyone's business. We are liked and respected no matter what our beliefs are.

May I add to your debate... God has given me a lot of challenges ....I think it's a learning process to give more strength to your character....the Bible says that He will never give you more than you can handle .... you wonder "WHY" at the time ... it will either prove out during your lifetime or after. When my grandson Nash was born with Down Syndrome I asked WHY??? Luckily I didn't have to die to learn why. He was a blessing to to us and now to the hundreds who have been helped because of his birth. There was a definite reason !! Anyone who questions, can pm me .

I am a Christian. :) I really can't imagine going through life not knowing where I will go after I die, and not knowing that somebody is always there for me even in the roughest of times.

Just for the record I guess, I'm Protestant ... my two oldest were baptised at 12 yrs old (Taylor just this past Easter) and Ashley will also be baptised when she reaches 12 yrs. I have a strong belief in the Lord and ask for his guidence whenever I need it. People need to believe in something whole heartedly. It gives me substance and meaning to everything I do.

Yep, that is true. I was brought up to like and respect everybody, no matter what they believe in. I may not agree with everything, but I will not hold something against a person just because they don't have the same ideas/beliefs/whatever that I do.

Ritchie and Nedim ....I can assure that sometime, in your lifetime ,something will occur that will make you question a superior being. It took me a while to believe in Jesus as our Savior .... But I believed in God, and I believed in the Holy Spirit , so I accepted Christ....the Trinity : God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

I used to "have faith", but was never christian. Didnt work out for me, so I dont believe in it. I think I have better things to worry about in my lifetime than worshipping and trying to get "saved". I think about things scientifically and god is impossible in my mind. Thats my outlook on life. If I can live with myself and with what I do, then I'm ok, I don't need to be told what is a sin and what isnt. I can decide for myself. Once again, this is MY outlook on life. I'm not putting anyone down who is a christian or what have you.

I've questioned and still question, I want to believe in god, but I just don't have any faith

Someday you both will..... I hope I'm still here to see it. Tonight, when you go to bed, quietly ask for the white lights to surround you ... ( on your knees, on your back. silently or out loud .) Then asked for your dreams to reflect your purpose in life and to give you a sign . It may not come now...but some day it will. You may feel a warm rush or nothing. Just keep a it .
