Local independent, family run pet supply store. They're awesome and for the most part, only carry the best quality stuff.

I am so happy a Pet Supplies Plus has opened near me. They carry Innova, Wellness, California Natural, Canidae, etc. They know me now :lol-sign:

I get my dog and cat food at Petsmart (Blue Buffalo).
Toys... I get wherever they are cheap!! Casey's not big into toys, so most of what I get is for the pups.
Petsmart has adoption groups inside, which I really love. We work closely with them through work too - to adopt out our kittys.

I get EVO canned from a small family food store on the way to work. I also got my orijen there when I had my seizure foster.

A locally owned feed store for both dog and cat foods, and their chewy things like moo tubes.

Petco for toys and biscuit type treats.

Independent store that is amazingly within 5 minutes walking distance. I discovered it this weekend and they only sell decent foods, no purina/pedigree/whatnot.

They do not sell animals but do sponsor adoption days. I do care, I don't respect an establishment that doesn't do adoption days and I am wary of those that carry animals, especially reptiles (since they're often mistreated if kept alive at all)

Local, independently owned pet store for the dog food. They don't sell dogs or cats, but they have an adoption center in the store for the local rescue. The only animals they really sell are fish.

Petco/Petsmart for random things.

I buy at a local chain Chuck & Don's...they do not sell animals and have just about every premium type of food you could think of. Their staff is pretty knowledgable about the different foods and treats and are quite friendly. They seem to be decently priced also.

Pet Supplies Plus. We don't have to go there for the dog food, but it's the only place nearby that sells California Natural for my cat, so it's just easier... albeit a little more expensive, I think.

JRG Feed in Fort Dodge, I think that it is an independent store. It sells cattle feed mostly along with dog, cat, and other feed. I go there because they are the closest place that I am willing to buy from, even tho its an hour drive or so. There is a place right in town that sells Diamond food, but the store is so crappy that I hate to go in there.

The only animals that they sell is those hermit crabs, or atleast they used to. Nope, I didn't care if they sold them or not.

My primary place where I buy stuff is Iowa Pet Food and Aquatics. They sell fish, have a shark pool in the back of the store, and are a satellite location for the rescue league.

The other pet food IS live animals... so I suppose yes on that account. I must admit though, I did buy three new liddle pets so I'd have "seasoning" for the snake food. Gawd, I love these mice. I love having mice as pets... I'll have to get photos of the cute little meeces sometime!

Careful. That's dangerous business 'round these parts.

I purchase half of my food from a poultry distributor (backs), half from a dog food distributor (Primal Pre-Made Raw), and I get my treats from another distributor.

Local "Town and Country" store that has all sorts of Carhart clothing, farmer supplies, and pet supplies. Never ventured in the back of the store, but they have hoses and other stuff like that too. Buy the dog food and pig ears there. Everything else(collars, leashes, etc) are bought from petedge.com

Sizzle, NRA, and I all buy our food at the same store, so here is another vote for independent stores. Saga's toys come from wherever I happen to find them.

Used to get my Innova from an independent grooming shop that had some retail to it, now I use Kirkland from Costco. I'll get a few things from Petsmart but typically just keep my eyes peeled for cheap stuff as far as toys go. Leashes and collars have started to come from various people/online sites.

I buy most of my food from local store called Rens Pets. They are great! I also go sometimes to PetValue and Petcetera.

We buy our food at Britton Feed and Seed which is a small feed supply store and garden store. They don't sell any animals. :)
