My brother loves Beagles, and has expressed an interest in Poms before. Overall though, he's not into dogs too much. He likes them, but doesn't really want one of his own as he thinks they're too much work.

My parents are for working breeds only pretty much. My mom's dream dog is a Great Dane (she's wanted one for years, knows everything there is to know, but my Dad won't let her have one), and aside from them, she doesn't have any other favourites. She loves all dogs pretty much. My Dad thinks Rottweilers are the greatest. He likes all dogs, but unless it's a Rottweiler, it's just another dog to him.

They think I have weird taste in dogs, LOL. I like herding breeds, Tollers, Dalmatians, etc. None of which appeal to them. They're all starting to like the Tollers though. My dad especially loves how much fun they are, but doesn't care for their appearance at all.

My mother likes mastiff-y types, bully breeds and the occasional small fluffy.

My sister like boxers, fox terriers and little fluffy toy breeds.

I like a few of the giant breeds, but mostly am in love with herding breeds (koolies, kelpies, Aussies and BC's) and gundogs, especially GSP's.

My mom loves the toy breeds - or anything with long hair (Tibetan Terriers, Maltese, Shires, Papillons, etc.)

My dad loves the big dogs (Rotties, Mastiffs, etc.). He says nothing compares to owning one of those dogs when they walk with pride. LOL, he wishes my mom would get over the small dogs.

I love terriers, anything that has a mind of it's own and can think for itself.

My older sister is just a dog lover, she thinks everything is cute and wants everything. My younger brothers are the same, but we will see how they think when they grow older (though my bet is the youngest of the two will be a rescuer, he feels sorry for a dog in need even at his age).

My dad likes a dog that can play frisbee/ball, and go for walks, and isn't to energetic. Basically an adult lab is good for him. Mom likes most dogs, but she's predjudiced against Pekineses because her grandmother had one that was mean, plus she doesn't really like the look of dogs with pushed-in faces and bug eyes. My mom has always wanted a Scottish Terrier someday.

My sister likes little fluffy dogs, and she is very fond of pit bulls.

My mom likes anything small and fluffy or that "looks" friendly. (not Teh Ebil Pitbullz, basically. Until I explained to her that APBTs have Middie's temperament except most of them hate other dogs, she used to be downright scared of the breed)

My uncle and Aunt like Labs and Lab mixes. They had a Pyr/Dal mix who bit a bunch of people (she had temperament issues), but other than that, the rest have been Labs. My grandparents - ALL of them except my deceased grandfather who kept hunting Beagles - did not like dogs.

My mom likes mediumish size dogs...so doesn't really care so much about breed. She just goes to the shelter and finds a dog that appeals to her.

My dad used to have hunting Beagles a long time ago...but he doesn't really care for animals in general and actively despises cats for some reason. lol

One of my sisters likes Mastiff's and would like to get one someday...but I don't think that she could handle one...especially a dog that would drool all over her house...she's a clean freak and the drool would drive her nuts.

I like large/giant dogs the best. However, I don't really care about breed. I love English Mastiff's and will always have one...but I could accept any dog into my home and love it. It doesn't really matter to me in the long run.

My parents only dogs were Rotties, but they haven't had any since they both passed. My mom prefers dogs that live outside, so they don't have any. They have a cat that is Satan Incarnate, instead. I think if my mom let my dad, he'd have another dog.

My brother loves all of MY dogs, but he lives at home, so no dogs.

My husband prefers Dachshunds.

I prefer Dobermans. And Allie.

Grandpa had a Toy Poodle.

My aunt and uncle breed and hunt with Wirehaired Pointing Griffons.

Other aunt and uncle have a sheep farm, so I've been dropping hints about dogs that guard the flock every time my uncle complains about losing another ewe to coyotes :)

My mom's side of the family is crazy about bostons. My mom had one as a kid and they've all been suckers since. Though my grandparents have had a rottweiler for the past 30 years (obviously not the same one ;)).

My dad is a fan of hunting dogs hence my parents owning a beagle and a gsp. He had a beagle and a lab at separate times as a kid, but my grandparents dumped them off as soon as they got annoying.

My mother is a dachshund nut lol. She also likes Chihuahuas, and small breed mutts. She used to be quite the breedist until we got Charlotte.

My brother's dream dog is a Siberian Husky. He likes big dogs, and only wants big dogs.

My dad's not a big fan of dogs, but he allows them in the house. He'll talk to them and pet them and stuff but doesn't get really attached.

My mother likes Chihuahuas, Rat Terriers, etc... and the tinier the better. My younger sister is pretty much becoming the same way.

My older sister likes Cockapoos. She'll tolerate other dogs, but doesn't really like any but Cockapoos.

My niece loves all dogs but I think her favorite breed is Chow Chow, because that's what she grew up with.

My grandma (mom's mom), when she was still alive, loved all animals. She had German Shepherds all her life until she couldn't handle them anymore and then got a Pomeranian who was her constant companion and was with her when she passed away.

John likes all kinds of dogs but would probably say his favorites are Pit Bulls and Jack Russells. He prefers VERY active dogs, the more hyper the better in his opinion, LOL. His parents pretty much love all dogs. They have a Rottie and a Shepherd/Beagle mix currently. They've had everything from St. Bernards to Dachshunds in the past.

And me, I pretty much like everything. GSDs, Collies, and big working dogs are probably my favorites, but I like a lot of small breeds too.

My fiance's side of the family has corgis... exclusively. ;)

My mom's side of the family has always had GSDs. Which means, of course, they want me to get a GSD someday. (I don't think I'll mind... I have always wanted one.)

My aunt likes corgis.

My other aunt likes big hairy dogs... which is why she has chows and newfies.

My dad loves German Shepards... has always wanted one... couldnt believe my mom was going to make him walk a "girly" dog like a toy poodle. He realizes they are not in the position to get a German Shepard but that is his favorite dog. Although, now that I visit with Armani he keeps saying he wants a yorkie... I tell him they are minature German Shepards (same colors!:rofl1:)

My mom is a poodle person... although she professes to love all dogs she makes the occassional anti- bully breed comment so I dont know.

And me I like small - medium size dogs. I will probably always have a yorkie and if I move out of the city either an aussie or a toller.

I really like most herding breeds, but especially love aussies and border collies. I love tollers and Dobermans and GSDs, Belgians, etc.

I'm not sure what my mom really likes. She's sticking with smaller breeds right now.

My sister and Dad really seem to lean more towards Rotties and Labs

Not sure about the rest of my family

Dad: He's had Poodles all his life, though he swears the only thing he'd have after we all leave the house with our dogs is a gerbal :rofl1: He's always wanted a Neo Mastiff.

Mom: Hmm, she's never really exspressed an interest in a certain breed. She had a Cocker as a teen/adult, and one poodle, so I think either of those type of breeds (med/big, friendly, active) would do.

Sister: Dalmations all the way! LOL

Other Sister: Rotties

Brother: Beagles and BMDs

My Grandmother and 2 Aunts are all Poodle people. Then one of those aunts is a Chihuahua person, too.

Me: Herding breeds will always have my heart. I'm kind of different than my family. I like an active, alert, smart, fast dog - the Border Collie. No one else likes the work of an active dog like that. They'd rather have one that doesn't need a walk everyday or can live with little exercise for a day or two.
