I'm not sure in what part of Canada you live but I lived in New Brunswick and the weather in Maine and NB are pretty much the same. Unless you live in northern Ontario I bet our winters are pretty similar.
I live in the Prairies....Saskatchewan. Our winters are pretty vicious here. -40 for a week straight is definately not unheard of. We got a blizzard in April a couple of years ago that dumped a ton of snow and 130 km/hour winds that knocked out power all night.

Snow here isn't the issue though. Some years we barely get any snow. It is the cold that is the issue LOL.

The temperature and humidity.

It's been consistently in the high 80s low 90s for too freakin long. I need a break.
My sister lives in Humble and says the same thing all the time. I keep telling her to move back east :D

If I didn't have horses I wouldn't mind but in Vancouver we get really wet winters. The mud is awful.

Oh and the other thing I hate about where we live is....and it drives me nuts....but watching rich famers and ranchers buy brand new $70,000 trucks and wrecking them the next day.

I also hate that the construction on Texas Ave is different every year with different lanes closed,
Every year? Every month! They had the cross over down by the Walgreens on Texas closed off for two weeks and suddenly one day it's open again.

And the construction on University by the vet school is ridiculous. They can't decide whether to keep both lanes open or only one. Annoying.

Oh! And the people who don't figure out that most places the turn lane goes into their own lane! You can always tell the newbies....
I gotta admit I do this, a lot. To Texas from University I always forget that the lane just continues and sit there for a while making sure I won't get creamed as I go out. Which is probably still a good idea sometimes...

That and there's nothing to do here. Hmmm... movies or mall? I'm a city girl, College Station is too country for me. That and the town revolves around school... good but makes it get REALLY old REALLY fast.
Bah I come from a town of 20,000 people. College Station is the largest town I've ever lived in lol. Movie and mall? Woot! The closest mall we had back home we had to drive 30 minutes to.

But there's other things to do. Like the Speedway is right outside of town when they got something going on, then there's all the different organizations around. Plus the stuff on campus (like the rec) and all the parks (we have like, 20 of them). Golf courses, and the like. Much, much more than my old town had.

OH OH OH I FORGOT ONE.

I REALLY dislike some of the tourists lol.

we live in Amish country lol so people come from all over to gawk. they don't seem to realize that there are other people that also live and work here that are not Amish and just want to get to where they are going.... so PLEASE when you pass an Amish buggy.... don't stop your vehicle in the middle of the road and get the whole family out to harrass the Amish and take your pictures while traffic piles up behind you. We aren't all as enamoured with the buggies as you might be. chances are you will see another buggy at some point in time.

i LOVE oklahoma. the one thing i hate about where i live is that the nearest town is 15-20 miles away. and the nearest town with decent food is about 30-35 miles away adn the city that employs a lot of people here is over an hour away :(

The lack of seasons in southern california. The fact that Christmas day is always 90 degrees and too hot for me to wear my "winter wear" or have a fire in the fireplace. AND it is WAY expensive to live here!

I love IN in general........the climate, the surroundings, but I don't like our town :(

IT'S TOO BIG! Our population is less than 30,000 and to some that would seem small but to me it is too big. I don't feel safe letting the kids roam around town (and don't) As soon as it's dark the younger ones (age 7 & 11) don't even get to be in our own front yard :( We are just too close to Chicago land for me to relax........LOL

I am used to living in VERY small places (like 1-2 stop lights in the whole town) No matter where my parents moved us it was ALWAYS tiny.
