I also hate that the construction on Texas Ave is different every year with different lanes closed,
Every year? Every month! They had the cross over down by the Walgreens on Texas closed off for two weeks and suddenly one day it's open again.
And the construction on University by the vet school is ridiculous. They can't decide whether to keep both lanes open or only one. Annoying.
Oh! And the people who don't figure out that most places the turn lane goes into their own lane! You can always tell the newbies....
I gotta admit I do this, a lot. To Texas from University I always forget that the lane just continues and sit there for a while making sure I won't get creamed as I go out. Which is probably still a good idea sometimes...
That and there's nothing to do here. Hmmm... movies or mall? I'm a city girl, College Station is too country for me. That and the town revolves around school... good but makes it get REALLY old REALLY fast.
Bah I come from a town of 20,000 people. College Station is the largest town I've ever lived in lol. Movie and mall? Woot! The closest mall we had back home we had to drive 30 minutes to.
But there's other things to do. Like the Speedway is right outside of town when they got something going on, then there's all the different organizations around. Plus the stuff on campus (like the rec) and all the parks (we have like, 20 of them). Golf courses, and the like. Much, much more than my old town had.
