I gotta admit I do this, a lot. To Texas from University I always forget that the lane just continues and sit there for a while making sure I won't get creamed as I go out. Which is probably still a good idea sometimes...
So the next time I'm stuck trying to turn onto Texas and the person in front of me isn't turning EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE THEIR OWN LANE, I can yell at you? :D

Small town attitudes..

Constant road contsruction. It takes years for one mile to be completed.

People can not drive. When the weather changes, they get worse and forget how to operate a vehicle. Warm temperatures and snow means a lot of accidents.

...everything.

The things I like are easier. How pretty the woods are, my great neighbors, gravel driveway, letting Middie poop wherever the hell he wants and not having to worry about it.. no HOA... that sort of thing. Otherwise I hate everything.

I hate that this area's past "leadership" continually sabotaged itself over the last 50 years, keeping this area, Northwestern Ohio from becoming what it logically should have become, something on the order of Cleveland, at least, or even Chicago. We have 2 of the busiest highways in the US going through here, Lake Erie, and about the mildest winters in the entire area. Companies wanting to build plants here were ignored, or just flatly turned down, for some of the most insane reasons. The great leaders destroyed downtown Toledo in one year, making it a ghost town, by removing almost all parking on the street (With meters) overnight, putting dozens of businesses down the tubes.

Then there is the local dog warden, Tom Skeldon. He sees Pit Bulls everywhere.

I hate that there are no good trails to hike on. We have a couple little trail systems but I can walk the one in about 2hours (including the time it takes to actually walk to the trail system and back to my house) and the other one although it does go on forever, its flat and straight and boring because it used to be a railway.

I also hate the neighbours to the left of us. Absolutely despise them. I'm sure some of you remember the lovely "relations" we had with them last summer regarding Ronan >_< such idiocracy! ah well the one good thing about them is they did cough up the money to build a 10ft privacy wall between our properties :D

I love a lot of thing about my area though. I love the small town atmosphere, I love that I can easily walk to work in 1/2hr-45minutes or bike in 10minutes. I love that I can go walking any time of the night with or without dogs and not have to be on constant edge of who might be lurking in the shadows. And oh! I love the Mennonites because they have the BEST cooking!!! Speaking of mennos, I also love how it is not out of the ordinary to see at least 10 horse and buggies cruising through town on any given day (except Sundays, then you'll only see them if you happen to be on their route to and from church).

I don't like the feezing cold wind in the winters here. And I don't like that I am in town. The town is nothing more than a wide spot in the road, we don't even have a stop light, but the the bigwigs who run the town seem to like to pretend they are in the big city. We don't have a city limit in this town, we have an 'urban boundary'. I will be quite happy once we get moved on out to the country.

Yes, because I yell at myself a lot "aww crap, I had my own lane...again...doh!"

I always forget where they are. There's not many of them so you'd think I'd be better about remembering it but I'm not.

I blame it on the vast amount of other information I have to take in.

Humm, where I live doesn't bug me so much. I don't really care for the crazy 90F plus humidity days and then the upper 60's with in the same week (and don't even bring up the night time temps) but other than that I don't mind the snow and such.

I don't mind the small town nowhereness of my town. I kind of like it in fact.

I do hate some of the people here. Farmers who are always right, smelly guys who can't speak right, kids who thing its cool to complain about the school (which is a really great school), and all the Wal-mart shopping hicks who complain about all the factory jobs going to China. A lot of the people here really really get my goat, there are a few nice old people though.
