Doug has to work on Valentines Day so we are having ours on Wednesday. We both already know what we are giving the other since funds are a little tight. He is giving me a wonderful gift of a day off. Other then feeding or playing with our little munchkin I get to do what ever I want. No house cleaning or so on. Just relax or bake or so on. I am making him his favorite pie: White Chocolate Cream Pie. Have to start that today since it takes quite a while to make and then has to set for at least 12 hours or more.

For our meal we are having steaks that I tenderized and put in a marinade yesterday, whipped cheesy garlic potatoes and for veggies they will be fried onions, mushrooms and peppers in some of the marinade. YUMMY. Tonight we are having our fried pork bites, I cut up and put the pork chunks in a marinade last night, so will fry them up tonight and they are sooooo yummy. So today I got to get the pie made and setting in the fridge till tomorrow. I am making a few extra pie crusts while I am at it for use later. We will most likely sit back and enjoy some movies and cuddle and relax time during and after supper. So what are your plans.

We're going out to our favorite pizza place. Not exchanging gifts that I'm aware of, just a cute date. Being dorky teenagers, etc.

We usually go to the zoo, because it's a good excuse to spend a little bit of money :)

We bought each other small gifts, I spent 10 on his. We probably will go out for a small dinner since we have to spend money on a flyball tournament this weekend.

PW - that's the best Valentine's day.

I think we're supposed to get snow, so hopefully not being stuck at home. I'm tentatively going to a Kiwani's Club Valentine's Day Dinner Party with a friend and then driving with him to Boston that night, but only if no one needs me to dogsit or do anything over the weekend. If it doesn't snow and I don't go Boston, I might still go to the dinner.

I used to throw an awesome Valentine's day brunch every year...pink heart shaped pancakes, raspberry smoothies, chocolate covered strawberries, bacon, sprinkles and whipped cream on everything...Everyone helped cook, too, which was funny because it was usually 8-10 of us. But then all my friends moved away and grew up :(

Nothing? Same old, same old?

We've been together for 14 years (married for 9 in July), and I've never received anything for V-day. Oh well.

Hubby will work a 12-hour shift, come home, shower, eat supper, watch tv, then go to bed. I'll be busy cleaning, cooking , and taking care of the boys and animals. Same stuff, different day.

Nothing, really. I have class, he has work, and neither of us really feel strongly enough about the "holiday" to drive the hour and fifteen minutes to see each other that night and eat dinner. He asked what I wanted to do and I said I kind of wanted to go to Toki Underground and get ramen, but that's not very Valentine's Day-ish. His response was "So?" We would have gone there this weekend Valentine's Day or not, so I'm not sure that even counts. :p

We'll be working. Maybe treat ourselves to a nice dinner out -- 4 months till our wedding so we're on the 'pack o' Ramen a night' budget.

I had to look up what day it was!

Nothing. We're not really Valentine's people, particularly after having the wee one. No sense in paying a sitter so we can see a movie, etc.

We would totally go to a zoo if we had one here
