Belle is ALWAYS a couch potato lol which is another reason it surprises me that she got hurt... she's SLEEPING 90% of the time on the couch lol

yes that was very good news. she's gonna be sore for a bit but the vet said the swelling should go down over the next couple of days.

THat's awesome. I wish to heck and back that they would have put a cast on Victor's. It really hurts him when he hits it just right.

Glad she's okay. Dogs sure do cause us a lot of worry sometimes when they do something to themselves. I bet you're relieved.

I am very careful about asprin too. Dogs stomach mucosa isn't as tough as ours apparently. With my 100 lb GSD, my vet told me 1/2 asprin and take with food and only very occassionally. Asprin permeates the lining of the stomach and esophagus of dogs more easily than it does ours and can ulcerate those organs. (this is my understanding anyhow) I usually have some Rimydal on hand in case of emergencies but that too, I use sparingly, as it's hard on the liver if given to excess.

Anyhow, I'm very glad there was nothing serious.
