I was just wondering what you guys are all doing to celebrate.

Dave and I are going up to the city to 4 star restaurant, then the theatre and then we are staying the night in the city. Omg a Kid free night! We aren't doing it in the 14th though. We are doing it on the 28th because of work and what not.

Also I have NO idea what to get him. Help?

So what are you guys up to?

Going to a resort in Hawaii for the v-day weekend (well 4 day weekend technically lol) :D It was a huge surprise but he wanted me to have time to 'get ready' and deal with work and merlin so he told me early

I am very very excited!

I'm getting him a nice a watch
oh and sexy time coupons lol

I'm...doing nothing.

Well, a fellow coworkers husband is being deployed to Japan and will be gone for Valentine's Day (she was uber bummed), so we may get together and have a my-husband-is-deployed valentine dinner and movie.

But honestly, even if Michael were here, we wouldn't be doing anything. He hates Valentine's Day. It was all I could do last year to get him to say he would even be my valentine, and the only reason he said yes was because the year before *that* when I asked him and he said, "No, that's stupid" he hurt my feelings. Lol

Fran, I'm so jealous. Actually, I'm jealous of Jenn, too.

We don't have any big plans. I'm thinking we might celebrate on the weekend instead. Unfortunately, his weekend is a half day Sunday and off Monday so spending the night anywhere baby-free isn't an option. We'll maybe go out to dinner and maybe Monday go to the aquarium or something for a cute family day

I will be watching the notebook and other lovey movies (perhaps broke back mountain?) and eating jelly beans with my dog!! I think I will also eat an entire gluten free pizza. Valentines day = candy lovey movie day. Works for me, I can get behind this brand of commercialism! :D

It falls the day before Jeromy and I were going to go to the dog show anyway, so that's our Valentine's activity this year :)

Nothing chances are we both will have to work. He's not super big on valentines day. Not to mention we are going out for my birthday the following week.

Making dinner together, watching movie together, sex.

That's several times a week with us anyway though. V-Day isn't really a holiday either of us care to celebrate. :p

I'm not sure.. I'm not a huge fan of the holiday but I do any excuse to eat cake so we always get an ice cream cake the day of. Most likely that's it.

We're not doing anything. I don't think the husband and I have done anything for Valentine's Day in the 8 years we've been together. We're not gifty people in general and usually don't buy birthday gifts (we wouldn't buy Christmas gifts either if it wasn't celebrated with our families). For birthdays we just buy our own presents and say things like "Hey, I signed up for this dog training thing for my birthday, thanks!" :lol-sign:

We do go out to a nice dinner for birthdays and would probably do it for V-Day, except my birthday is a little more than a week later and we don't need two expensive dinners in one month.

Nothing. Sometimes we'll go out for dinner a few days before or a few days after Valentines, but otherwise we don't do anything special. We both hate the whole "money grab" aspect of it, so we avoid all that crap.

Popping every. Single. Pink. Balloon. In. The. Showroom.

Then peeing on their remains, if I'm feeling really grouchy.

Middie and I have a lot in common.
