The county denied my request to waive the visious dog title Jazz now has. They also mailed me a copy of the visious dog by laws. They have to be the worst written I have seen. Eg No more than 2 dogs that our housed outside the principal residence shall be kept on residential property. Does that mean I can only have 2 dogs, only baby sit 2 dogs, or only have 2 dangerous dogs since its under that bylaw? Also Danes and Sibes are on the dangerous dog list. THIS IS NOT OVER

I would be it will be much easier for you to move away from the community where the restrictive law is than to try to fight it.

Oh Im also not alowed to fence my entire property. People must be able to get to at least 1 door without being touched by my big nasty doberman

Doberman Pischers are. We were told BEFORE we bought the place that there were no laws like this. We called the county office. Its a $1500 fine if I walk her without a muzzle. Thats a bit much

It is not really smart to fence your entire property for your dogs. I specifically have fencing that keeps my meters (gas, water, electricity etc) OUTSIDE the fence so personnel do not have any need to come inside my fence.

If there ever were a medical emergency, they also need access to be able to get in your house without being accosted by dogs. (Which they will shoot if they deem it necessary under some circumstances).

Lesson learned. Research yourself. That is not too good learning that after you have purchased a property.

I'm so sorry to hear this SLK...it's absolute garbage! Good luck in your venture, though it maybe easier to move away from the area...like someone else mentioned, eventually, there won't be anywhere to move to to avoid it :(

So does this mean Wart can't come home?

This is ridiculous - I know it's probably impossible to move, but it's probably the best option. :(

Honestly, I would not rely on some lady to bring you clarification. I would research myself and see what is written there black on white. I would not rely on someone telling me "Ah, you'll be fine" just to end in a bad situation.

But yes, it does suck.

back in 1970 there was a band called the Sex Pistols
and they were "punk". Just tell everyone your to "punk" and move

what

Jenn, that SUCKS. I'm so sorry you had to find this out after you moved into the new place. =<
Moving is definitely the best choice, as crappy as it is - but I wouldn't quit fighting a stupid law like this either.
