I've gotten my mom hooked on it and she is SOOOO not a "zombie" person. She's like all out girly girl-chick flick watching person, LOL, and she LOVES it.

I'm sorry.. what? Yes, I did state it was all of those things because sometimes when you have thoughts you state them. I have no idea what you're trying to say because the entire thread is full of opinions but you did not ask for clarification from any one saying it was a great show. I'm not splitting hairs over whether or not I should have said "I THINK the show.." because I never had any one, until this moment, assume every thing I say is to be taken as a fact unless specified otherwise. It's not offensive, it just doesn't make any sense so I really don't know what to tell you here.

Anyway, does any one read the actual comic? There is confirmation (not just from Darabont, since his confirmation.. kind of doesn't matter anymore, lol) that Michonne will be there at the end of this season.
Alright, sorry

You're the only person I've met yet who's not happy with this show. I'm sure more exist but it's such a sensation, I'm shocked. Plus I have a lot of friends who love the comics and enjoy the fact the show is deviating so they too are now in suspense.
I'm gonna say I agree with TWAB, I hate the show :p It's on every week in the background, and from the snips that I happen to actually watch, it's the same thing every week. but... everybody else in my house watches it, so... :lol-sign:

I have the first(?) season on DVD.. cause uh... I "bought" it for my dad for Christmas, then lost it, then it turned out he had it already anyway :rofl1:

Season 1 is better than season 2. Give it a genuine shot.

As for same stuff over and over, what? would you expect them to battle Dinosaurs in a zombie apocalypse? hehehehe

I totally respect not digging the show (but it is unusual from the norm of what I see/hear). I love a lot of stupid girly shows that Denis can't stand. I also totally respect breaking bad is a phenomenal show, I can't however get into it. As for Walking Dead I definitely don't believe it is badly written nor acted. Of course we can't all share the same tastes. I refuse to watch reality tv mostly because I don't like my eyes bleeding. I also refuse to watch laugh tracked shows because really if you need a track to cue the funnies you're likely a totally useless comedian.

Hey, does anyone know if the first season or previous episodes had music? I noticed BG Music in the last episode (or whatever, the driving down the road with Shane scene) and I hadn't before, is it new?

Yes, I've read all of the comics. Supposedly Michonne will join up in the season finale. The Governor has been cast for next season.

There was an official on Michonne, apparently one of the actors cast as one of her zombies POSTED ABOUT IT on his blog. He took it down, but of course people caught it. Whoops! Now a story line guess for me:

I was certain they were going to use Merle as the Governor with the missing hand, as a way of giving the character a back story like they like to do in shows, but when they cast a different actor it's obvious they won't be doing that. Though, I'm making a guess that the kid they're keeping in the barn is a hostage? I'm guessing Merle is apart of their camp.

Oops edited some of that, even though Michonne means nothing to non comic readers. Just in case!

I think I'm just going to send you a nerdy comic to show PM so that none of these people see it :rofl1:

Don't you have to be bit to become a zombie? If Randal had no bite marks how did he become a zombie, and how did Shane become a zombie, we know for sure he wasn't biten or even scratched. Can some one explain that?

I think you're supposed to try and figure that one out yourself. Nobody in the show really knows anything about getting the infection, they just made assumptions based on what they'd seen, so it appeared you had to be bitten, but who knows?
Tucker&Me posted her theory earlier in the thread and it sounds about right.

If they hadn't showed scenes for next week I would have thought the show had just ended for good. I don't know how they're going to make it through what's coming. I'm very concerned that Glen and Daryl are still out in the woods...

Did Shane want to die? No one seems to view his death the same way I did. I think he wanted Rick to finally prove himself. No matter the outcome, Lori and Carl would be left with the stronger man. As evil as I think he was, I think Shane wanted that to be Rick.

I haven't read most of the thread, but I assume it's airborne and they're all already infected. They're all carrying the disease, but the disease isn't "activated" or whatever you may want to call it until they die.

the microbe (virus i think) is adapting to it's host so it doesn't kill it. by not killing it they live longer & reproduce more. bugs that don't change much eventually become harmless between it's adaptations & ours. the next big threat will be when the zombie bug jumps the species into another mammal.
