In order of how much I like them so far.
1) Small Animal Medicine 2 (lab and lecture)
2) Veterinary Imaging (lab and lecture)
3) Microbiology (lab-twice a week... yuck and lecture)
4) Ethics (online, and only 5 weeks)
5) Because my school is intelligent, I haven't had my Monday classes yet but tomorrow will be my second week of my Thursday classes. Monday classes are Lab and Exotic Animals, lab and lecture.

Well, I just checked grades for my first Ethics assignment. I didn't feel great submitting it because his rubric wasn't easy to understand. Great way to start the semester with a 70%, right?

Eugh. I guess now I know what he's looking for in the future!

Aw man I loved LEA! And I loved Micro lab even with my ding dong of a teacher.

I don't start until September 30 (we have weird quarter schedules), but I'll be taking Parasitology and Lab Animals/Exotics/Pocket Pets. I'm excited for that one, not so thrilled about Parasitology. Poop...bugs...yay.

Megan, you'll have to let me know how your Exotics class goes! We can compare!

Is it a bad sign that I struggled with the Random Question (15+11)?

My quarter starts on the 25th. Intro to Biology, General Chem and Calculus. All the left brain!

What 6yr program is she in? I'm assuming a 4yr degree+ post-grad?

I almost wanna go back!
She is in the PharmD program at Wilkes University. 2 years "pre-pharm" then 4 years "professional". Comes out with a PharmD (Dr. q). It's cool because it's a "guaranteed seat" where she doesn't have to reapply to the professional program once the pre-pharm program is completed. As long as she keeps her grades up and doesn't screw up otherwise, she's in.

Anyone here do a transfer program? I'm on my last year of gen eds and need to apply to my main school yet... I don't know when to fill out my application.

I would start in the Fall of 2014... so now? Winter semester? I just want to make sure I have time to get all my ducks in a row and make sure I have time to hit fall registration.

I already hate my Calc professor. If I stay in his class, his lectures are going to be absolutely pointless. I could tell I wasn't the only one going "Wtf?" I'm planning on going to the TA discussion tomorrow before making a decision on whether or not to switch. I just got an email saying the TAs will be discussing L'Hopitals tomorrow. If that's what he was lecturing about today then I may not comprehend the English language as well as I thought I did.

I'm only taking three classes, but 14 credits. Graduating and then double majoring in two completely unrelated subjects was such a great idea. :p

I registered for an Econ class where the professor had written the book. I dropped after the first class. No thank you.
I had a calc professor that sounds exactly like yours. Omg that guy was a horrible teacher. I decided to stick it out but I really wish I would. The entire semester was just call with that guy. Ergh. Last semester I had a much better calc professor and it made this more enjoyable for sure!

Are you talking about getting an AA or AS and transferring to get you Bs?

I just made sure to have mine in before priority admission dead line, which was a bit different for each school. I believe each school had a time they started accepting applications as well. So I will look on each school site, or call them. I actually started essays a while before that though because I was nervous and wanted them perfect lol.

Everything I found online says he's an easy grader and gives out mostly As. Even the TA today said he's the professor on campus with the highest scores. UGH. I haven't talked to a single person who thought anything he discussed in lecture made sense. I'm torn between trying to switch and just toughing it out. I don't like my TA so I may at least try to switch discussions.

Well that may make the difference then. Mine was a very hard grader. The way he calculated the grade you lost 2% if your grade pretty much no matter how you did. I tried explaining his method was wrong but he didn't agree.

How comfortable do you feel about the material? If you feel good about learning the material it may be to your benefit to stay. But if you don't feel comfortable learning the material easy grading won't do you any good if you can't understand how to do it. Lol

My shitty teacher just sent me a very hate-filled email telling me I'm trying to abuse my accommodations. I'm trying to write back but I can't stop crying :( I'm forwarding the email to the director of disability services, too, if I can ever finish writing it. I feel like **** because of this dirty hateful douchebag.

Welp, barring any serious issues, I will be starting classes next month to work toward an AAS in Histotechnology. I am super pumped!

Just got back from my first night!

It went really good, and we even got out 30 minutes early :D My professor is really good - he definitely knows what he is doing.

We didn't cover much tonight - just introduced ourselves and discussed the material a little bit. Thankfully I don't have much homework - just around 10 pages to read and answer some questions in my lab manual/workbook.

We do have to memorize the top 200 drugs (brand name, generic name and chemical name) that we'll be tested on, but thankfully that is split into different categories. Our first one is only 10-12... gotta stop by and get some notecards to study with! However, I'm actually looking forward to this part of it :D

It's going to be a LOT of work, but the definite plus side is that I'll be done in December and then I'll start my externship. It's going to be a great class, I think.

The only thing I think I might eventually start "dreading" is the drive. It's only an hour and a half each way, but it still gets boring at times :lol-sign: I think I'll be able to survive that though haha

ETA - the other great thing is that my FL pre-paid covered everyhing except for $8.84... which is what I like to see!

Well, I got it sent, and I got a reply. What was in the reply? "Set up a meeting so we can discuss this." NO. I WILL NOT SET UP A MEETING. MY ACCOMMODATIONS SAY YOU ARE TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME IN WRITING IF YOU MUST COMMUNICATE OUTSIDE OF CLASS. FOLLOW THE ****ING RULES!

Ahhh financial aid. Why do you not process BEFORE I need books? I would love to use the remainder for that, but no, I guess that's not possible.
