Well, that's awesome. And when those puppies start breaking with parvo and other diseases, there will be another state that refuses animals brought up. Our rescue already can not use Mass or CT.

I would encourage the new owner to report the shelter. If you can't sell a puppy before 8 weeks, tossing it in a van for 10-12 hours straight and handing it off to new people doesn't seem wise either.

^^ Definitely.
I don't understand how someone thinks they're doing a good thing by adopting out such young pups. It really is sad when some rescues mirror bad breeders.

There is a BC for adoption that is gorgeous.

No. Just no.

I do not need 2 beginner agility dogs and 2 dogs the exact same age down the road. she is beautiful but I should use my brain, right?

I should ban myself from looking at all until next year.

As long as they aren't the same jump height, you'll be fine! Get the Border Collie :p

Gimmick's new custom collar is complete and shipped out today. I will be climbing the walls until it gets here and I can finally see it on him.

It has shrimp on it. Shrimp, I say! No other dog will have a collar like his.

Well I've thought about it. And I'm going to instead email a breeder about a waiting list for next winter. I really want a sports bred dog.

I feel insane.

Omg. I love your logic. This will help so much in the future.

I have a 24 and a 20, that means I need a 16, right?
Yes! Do it!
Also, different levels are acceptable as well. If you've got a 24 in masters, you can get another 24 for novice :p

Don't do it.
Don't do it.

Eventually they end up in the same level.

This is only okay for 16, 20 and 12 are maybe probably okay depending on your area and the populations of those height classes.

The rest of the height classes are out. You WILL end up at a trial with only one dog between yours.

DON'T DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

You mean you don't all love running dogs back to back? :p

You're right though - I didn't even think about small classes. Patton and Recon will be running closer together than I like - thankfully 20 is usually one of the bigger classes.

ASK ME WHY I THINK THAT WAY

20 is the next-biggest after 16 here, so usually not so terrible trying to space dogs out. I have minor concerns that Baby Kaner may appear and end up a 12-incher, but 12 is decent-sized around here, so I should be able to make it work... usually there's some way to finagle dogs around and get enough time between. 16 is always the biggest so that's easy-peasy and I'm definitely hoping for a 16-incher haha.

But having two 8 inch dogs or two 24s, omgggggg

Hugo sometimes has these bursts of energy and NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING. Today's choice: rebound training (I was waiting until he was at least a year old to start). Dude is chilled out after I made him jump on and off the chair for 8 minutes. :)

Both of mine run P16; usually it isn't a huge deal, because I don't run Meg in many classes anymore. But I was all annoyed at the secretary last weekend, because she put my two with only 1 dog in between them for Standard. I figured I'd just change it around when I got there, until I realized that there were five dogs total - two were mine, three belonged one other person. So it was her-me-her-me-her.

Needless to say, I was still trying to catch my breath from my first run when I was leading out for the second!

We are going to need more info before we can judge how insane you are ;)

No, not cattle dog though one of those will happen one day down the line (I really want a red girl). I haven't heard back from the breeder yet so we'll see. Eeek!

Roxie just got all nutty, running around the basement like she couldn't handle it. I've never seen her run so low to the ground, lol. I really wish she would do that more, lol. It's adorable.

This is going to be long and nobody needs to read this I'm just at my wits end.

No matter what I do Wilson's fear issues just do not get better. Every time we are anywhere but an extremely quiet place with no strange people he is being freaked out trying to get away from the scary thing. He has started trying to back out of his harness to avoid getting out of the car. He frequently pees if God forbid a stranger approaches him. It's not even just touching, if someone looks at him the wrong way he is terrified. He still takes treats but he takes them frantically and immediately goes back to worrying. No matter how many treats, he doesn't seem to get more comfortable in a situation. And it's getting to a point where it's extremely difficult for me not to get frustrated, which in turn makes him more frantic because he's incredibly in tune with me and any negativity from me makes him more worried about the environment he's in. And I feel like I can't just stop and leave because my work schedule already only allows me to take him out and work with him only four days a week. I feel like I made a mistake in getting him. I feel like his breeder lied to me. I seriously don't know what to do anymore. This was supposed to be my service dog prospect but it's bright as day that that won't be happening.

Have you talked to the breeder about this?

I would be exploring a behaviorist and/or anxiety meds if you want to try to continue working on it. But if you what you need is a service dog and that's not gonna happen with him... well, there's also nothing wrong with deciding he's not the right fit for you.

I know he's still pretty young but I also feel like you've been having these troubles with him since day 1.
