Lol nearly every one I know has their ears pierced, I have no problem with people doing it and think it's looks nice but I just don't want it.
Ditto!! I don't have any holes in me either.... I was really put off when I was about 10, a friend has 4 earings in each ear and one day her horse was nuzzling round her ears when she wasn't paying much attention (Too busy chatting!!) And the horse grabbed hold of all 4 earings and ripped them out of her ear!! Took half the lobe with it! :yikes: :yikes: Kinda put me off for life!

I think tattoos are tacky and would never get one! I personally like to keep art work on my walls;)

I do love the show Miami Ink however!

Generally I really don't like tattoos.
However, I would consider getting something like... Ooohhh... Somebody mentioned it but I can't remember who.
Anyhow, something for each of my dogs.
It would be small, and very discreet. If I didn't want someone to know, they wouldn't know I had one :).
I don't have piercings though, and don't plan on getting them.

I don't have one (and at my age thank god I don't LMAO) and I'll never be getting one. I just don't find them appealing. I don't have any piercings either...pretty much every girl in my school has them too. I just can't stand pain, nor do I want/need them. On special occasions, there are always clip ons.

Tats with a purpose are fine, but pointless or 'iono' ones are IMO very tacky.

I'm fine with the way I am.

I have two - a scorpion (line drawing, no detail) on my left shoulder and two pawprints (taken from Malcolm's feet and scaled down) on my right hip. I plan on getting one more, probably on the lower back, but haven't found the perfect design. I'm leaning towards a Chinese dragon, Chinese lettering, or Celtic rune symbols. Decisions, decisions. I was 30 before I got my first tattoo, and 34 when I got the second one. I believe in thinking long and hard before getting something that permanent. I've seen too many cover ups because they either weren't done well or people grew tired of the design.

Okay, Jess .... a good reason ( I guess ), I can't figure out what it is .
Her hand tattoo is a tribal sun and it has alot of meaning.
The sun represents the centralizing force (or purpose) that sustains, integrates and gives design to our individual existence.
The sun stands for the principle of selfhood.
The sun symbolizes the will that is necessary to creatively participate in the greater whole.
It means vitality, personal power, leadership and dignity.
On a gravestone, the sun symbolizes the soul rising to Heaven.
Most widely, though, the sun represents eternal renewal, and the shining virtues of both truth and light.

I wouldn't mind having one. My bf has some. It just worries me because it's with you for life (unless you go through a lot of money and pain); but also the entire decision of something so special and so meanginful that you're willing to get it in your skin. I've yet to find it.

That's the great thing about art! Anything can be a canvas! I have really enjoyed reading and seeing everyone's tattoo's. I love to show mine off. I will have Tony take a pic of my back tomorrow so you can see my fairy now that she is finished.

Each of my five pieces is special to me and comemorates a special time and place in my life. I love them all but am glad that each was specially designed just for me.

Also, mine are in locations where aging should never be an issue. Even the one on my tummy went back to perfection after my children were born and all the Doctors and technicians loved my lizard.

My next to pieces as I said will be memorial tattoos. The one on my back for my best friend Debbie is very dear to me, I know she is always watching my back and would have loved it.

I am a firm believer in to each thier own. Some people don't like that kind of art and that is fine for them. I don't appreciate every art form out there myself!

I have one and would like to get another. My wife has 3 or 4. My daughter has one on her back and now that she's 18 got one on the inside of her lip! She said it didn't hurt at all.
