well, when i get psychic powers, i will let you know. but as i have already said, i will wait and see just what this ban will do. me typing out what it should do, and then what it will actually do, are not going to be the same, but that doesnt mean that it will be some devastation to the pet community.

im not really sure what you are expecting out of people when you ask them what this law will do. you are asking for an answer that really cannot be given, and im sure that you know that. but it doesnt mean that your view is any more correct than anyone elses.

Don't disagree with you on that one tiny bit........except to say that we can't have it both ways. Either your pet is your PROPERTY (barring illegal abuse) or it's a living breathing creature that needs the government to govern the treatment.
Yeah, but here's the rub--they ARE living breathing beings and that is recognized by society and the law. If I starve my car of oil, I will eventually blow the engine and as long as it's not breaking some other laws nobody will care. However, if I starve my dogs and they die, you can bet the law will care about that. Even livestock, which fall into a different legal classification (a "lower" one if you will) cannot be starved legally even though they are property. Why? Well, pretty much the living breathing thing again.
