Well in your first post the pics youve posted I have not found on BULLDOGBREEDS.com. And the ? you asked "Do these dogs look right to you". Yes they look right and diiferent breeders breed for different qualitys. Here is some info that should be helpful pulled directly from BDB.com:
American Bulldog
Height: Males: 22 - 27 inches; Females: 20 - 25 inches.
Weight: Male: 75 - 125 lbs.; Female: 60 - 100 lbs.
By the end of World War II, the last remnants of the working English Bulldog were disappearing in the U.S. Thanks to the breeding programs of John D. Johnson and Allen Scott, the breed was brought back from the brink of extinction.
American Pitbull Terrier
Height: 18 - 22 inches
Weight: 30 - 60 lbs
His ancestors were brought to the Unites States in the mid - 1800's by Boston-Irish immigrants. Originally bred from a variety of bulldogs and terriers, American breeders increased his weight and gave him a more powerful head. A forbearer to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, they were originally bred to be a fighting dog.
American Staffordshire
Height: 17 - 19 inches
Weight: 40 - 50 lbs.
A variety of breeds were used to develop the "Amstaff" including the Bull Terrier, the Old English White Terrier, the Black and Tan, the Bulldog, the Mastiff, the Pointer, the Dalmatian and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. His name was changed from the Staffordshire Terrier to the American Staffordshire Terrier in 1972.
Staffordshire Bull terrier
Height: 14 - 16 inches
Weight: 24 - 38 lbs
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier first came into existence in or around the seventeenth century. As bull baiting declined in popularity and dog fighting enjoyed a surge of interest, it became necessary to develop a dog which possessed a longer and more punishing head than the Bulldog and also to combine strength and agility. It is therefore believed that the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was derived from the fighting Bulldog of the day with some terrier blood introduced.
These are all descriptions of average dogs from each breed, each breed listed have American Bulldog in there genes. The american bulldog is the only true bred molosser.
There are alot of breeders of AB's but the first 2 to recontruct the breed were John D. Johnson and Allen Scott, not to say there arn't other bloodlines out there i.e Hines and as said before each breed for different qualitys!!
Hopefully this is help
