I've always liked the name Emery..don't think I'll get to name a kiddo that, though, so I may have to use it for a dog or somesuch:p

And add me to the list of people who like Gage..and I'm married to a game geek and I still don't know the connection that name would have to a game:confused: Maybe I don't pay enough attention to the games being played in the other room:p

I LOVE the name "Etienne" pronounced.. Eh-tea-enne for a girl, shame it was a cheesy pop song here not so long ago and now it's lost some of it's sparkle for me.. :(

Professional was just an EXAMPLE!! say you have two female graduates...going for their first 'big' job, in whatever area they qualified in. One has a regular name, call her what you will. Let's just call her Laura someone. Then you have the other girl, who has some wacky 'fashionable' name. Something weird like Crystalyn or KittyJayne (yes, I know of a person that had this stupid name).

In professional work, having a crazy name doesn't look good.

Hmm my first name is Crystal and my middle name is Lynne. I am pretty sure if I was to suddenly start going by Crystal Lynne it would not cause me any problems.

Kitty? Hmm my Aunt went by the name Kitty for years before her passing (spin off on her childhood nickname-Kitten) nobody failed to take her serious.

We had names picked out long before our son was born. Hunter for a boy and Jade for a girl.

We got a boy his name is Hunter (Devin is his middle name) Were we to have a girl down the line she would more than likely be Jade..not sure what the middle name would be yet.

Were we to have another boy down the line I love the name Tristan.

Incidentally I looked up what Labra means. It is the plural of Labrum:

La·brum (lbrm)
n. pl. la·bra (-br)
1. A lip or liplike structure, such as the one forming the roof of the mouth in insects.
2. The outer margin of the opening of a gastropod shell.

No reason in mentioning that aside from I find it interesting that you are critiquing name choices when one looks into what your choice of (screen)name means. ;)

Tallulah I like, but Satchel?? Really....

If you consider who the parents are, it makes perfect sense for them to choose to name their child after Satchel Paige :)

Speaking of songs you could name her Desiree. I always liked that name.
That name is cursed, lol . . . Every single Desiree I've ever met, well, WASN'T :( It's a really difficult name for a girl to carry. Either she has to live up to it, or live it down.

I Love the name Sadie.

I also like Gabby, Ruby, Matilda and Delilah.

I'm terrible, I have names picked out for children I don't want.

So today I told my fiance that I think we should use Liliana and he actually really liked it!! Thats a surprise to me. Most I come up with he does not like. I think we found a winner.

Her middle name will be after his grandmother who basically took care of him throughout his childhood. Her middle name is Deloris which I dont find all that appealing, so we are going with her first name, which is spelled uniquely.... Faythe.

Liliana Faythe Wright.

That is a lovely name. And it passes my husband's very important "judge" test with flying colors. He always says that if you name your daughter something like Stormie she is bound to grow up and be at least an appellate court justice and every day when they announce her name it will sound ridiculous. i.e "Justice Stormie Wright, presiding". Well, I think "Justice Liliana Wright, presiding" sounds just dandy.

I'm betting girl. If my relatives are any indication, once you have one of one gender, the rest are the same gender, lol.
