We had broccoli rice au gratin with diced chicken breast last night. Kind of a skillet casserole that my wife does. Another one of Mrs. Q's "it's so easy and so good" meals.

Last night I made a pot roast with potatoes and carrots... it was soo yummy and now I have leftovers for sandwiches which is my favorite.

Tonight I am going out for Mexican.

I have no idea what I'm doing for dinner (and Matt's not going to be here so I'll probably just have cereal) so our big meal today was lunch.

We had omelettes with mushroom, onion, green pepper lots of garlic and cheese. Whole wheat toast on the side. I'm still not very good at making omelettes so they're never pretty, but they taste good so that's all that matters ;)

Ours was surprisingly good. We had a roast of pork that was 50% off. It was VERY tasty, with corn and mashed potatoes.

Chicken quarters cooked with homemade barbeque sauce (ketchup, hot sauce, worcestershire, a smidge of brown sugar). I didn't have any actual BBQ sauce so I improvised. We're also having roast garlic potatoes and either corn or peas (depending on which bag I pull out of the freezer when dinner is almost done).

I had...nothing. Sprite, at the movie theatre.

Then came home and had a very late snack of toast with marmalade and tea.

Sometimes I'm awesome in the kitchen, then there are nights like tonight where I throw a bunch of stuff together and it turns out totally mediocre.

In a pan: onions, browned. Ground turkey, browned. Lots of various seasoning. Half an orange and half a yellow pepper (it's what we had in the fridge), cream of mushroom soup for sauce and simmered till thick.

Pasta cooked on the side and mixed in when ready.

Meh. Turns out when you mix together things with mediocre flavour you get mediocre flavour no matter how much you season.

I cook twice a week: once for training (Sunday) and once for Teeny's breeder (Tuesdays). Tomorrow for training I'll be making Asian Cucumber Salad. My mouth is already salivating . . .
