My dad said that he and my mom's next dog, regardless of breed, will be named Stay. He's always wanted a dog named Stay.

OH! I totally forgot about my grandpa's German Shepherd named "Snap".

Unfortunatley, he lived up to his name, and had to be re-homed to the trainer for his aggression issues.

Does "Pog" and "Rizzo" count? lol :p

other than those, Dee-O-Gee was a pretty strange one, but I like the sound of it. I may name a dog of mine that eventually. It's said just like it's spelled, NOT DOG, but DEE-OH-GEE.

Oh and we had Shack which I've never heard of another dog named Shack.
Do you by any chance mean "Shaq" as in Shaquille O'Neil, the basketball player and sometimes rap-singer? He's enormous. It would be a great name for a big black dog.

I like the name Jinx... might name my next female that. Had the name Mojo picked out for my current dog before we met him... he didn't really come across as a "Mojo" though... so he ended up with "Captain". Don't think I've ever met a dog with that name...

We found a stray black cat in October of 2000. Kept her, named her Boo. Later ammended to "Boo the Magnificent", "Her Royal Magesty Boo Underfoot" and "Boo Almighty". She loved to hide behind curtains and jump out as the dog was walking past and scare the chicken livers out of her. Slept on the dog at night, too.

There was a dog in St. Louis who was in the paper, named Soulard.

I haven't met another Priest yet, and if I do, I'm just going to assume our boy started it. ;)

Someone was commenting to me that the worst possible nightmare puppy would be a JRT/APBT cross
They have quite a few in flyball, there is one named Ruby on my team. As well as BC/JRT mixes. :)

I forgot earlier, but a relative of mine has a Boxer named "Snacks" and I once met a Shih-Tzu named "Squeegee".

Well, I can't say I've ever come across another Kai, Kaedyn or Keeva in real life.

I have come across 2 or 3 Kai's and Keeva's online. I've yet to come across a Kaedyn/Kayden/Caeden.

In real life, the strangest dog name I've encountered was "Stain". The dog belonged to a guy I knew who just wanted to be able to summon his dog in a rather gross way.

Yes, we had a Diogi (D-O-G) down here, too. It was a cop's dog. Both cop and his dog were shot and killed in the line of duty. It was a really big story. Very, very sad. They built a beautiful dog park and named it "Diogi Park" in honor of the fallen canine officer.

I like unusual names for my pets.

Daltrey - named after Roger Daltrey of The Who. He also answers to many nicknames (Ralt, D, Ebay, DJ), etc.

Mojo Risin (we call him Mojo unless he is in trouble) - named after Jim Morrison. He gets called Mobo a lot too, don't ask me why.

Tres - he's numero three! :)

Dune - our cat - he has bright blue eyes like the people in the movie.

Token - cat - he is named after the South Park character.
