my point exactly

I'm sure some of the younger kids think we're old but even they are polite enough not to say so.

I ALMOST dated my hubbies best friend a few months before I met my hubby. I met him at a restuarant with my friends we talked there, and on the phone a few times but that was about it. Then a few months later my boyfriend (who ends up being my hubby) brings me over to meet his friend and it's the guy I almost dated. My hubby thought it was weird when I I was like "what's up Dave" and the guy knew my name as well. Needless to say I had A LOT of explaining to do when we left that night.

Oh, I see.

Well, if you're not an absolute psycho, then you're probably not him. Come to think of it, if you have useful skills, such as speaking Spanish, you're definitely not him! He's not the sort of person that you look at and say, "Gee, I'd sure like to be him!" He's more of an, "Oh god no!" sort of a figure. :D :D :D

Well, my story gets a little risque :p but in a nutshell Steve was a bouncer at a bar that my sis loves. She took me there one night and introduced us. I was engaged at the time and didn't pay much attention to him. But we all ended up going back to my place. He hung around (talking) until late the next morning and then went to the islands with his family. He came back the next week and started calling me. We'd walk around Vancouver and along the beach and everytime we'd see a couple (mostly gay men in the area I lived) he'd say "see? that could be us? all happy and holding hands?" And I hadn't seen my fiance in 6 months as I met him in Chile and he was still there and not due to come to Canada for several more months. So I was lonely and got to thinking....

But no worries my ex is happily dating again back home so it all seems to have worked out.

That was a year and a half ago.

And yes that WAS the nutshell AND the milder version :p

Oh thanks. In some ways I am. I can be more myself with him. I still have great memories/thoughts about Alonso though.

Through work, although when we met I was engaged & due to get married and Bill was seeing someone else. 18 months later we had both split from our partners and were doing a 25 mile walk for charity. We got chatting, realised we both really like each other and that was the start of something wonderful. That charity walk raised money for children with cancer and I found my soul mate - was a pretty special day!
