Gunnar had one bath with shampoo, the 1st week we brought him home. Now he'll get rinsed with the hose if we go to the lake for swimming, and I'll soak him down once in a while if I'm using the hose for something else, as he loves to attack the water coming out of it. He never smells.
Daisy had one bath as well, but she likes to go into her doggie pool and get wet. We rinse her down with the hose as well. She never smells either. Both her and Gunnar, you can bury your nose in their fur and there is no doggie smell. Sometimes when they come in from playing outside, they are a little gamey, but my kids smelled the same way when they were little and came in from outside, lol! I attribute the lack of smell to their diet.
Bruzer gets about 2 baths a year with shampoo. He has a unique smell to him. I can't imagine how he'd smell if he wasn't eating what he's eating. He's scared of the water so he runs from the hose and won't go in the doggie pool.
