I'm single and will stay this way. I've never dated anyone in my entire life and have no desire to...lol...People think I'm weird but I really have no interest in dating or ever being married.

I don't think everyone is MEANT to get married. If I do find the right one, which would be in a very long time, if ever, then would I get married? Yes. But otherwise I'm not interested. And I really think dating is stupid. In the majority of dating relationships, it's not like you're even in love, but still you kiss, hold hands, and sometimes sleep with eachother? Those things IMO are reserved for marriage. And IMO the best way to get to know someone is just be friends.

When I date I date my friends they just happen to be friends. Kissing, holding hands, hugging thats all fun stuff. I don't beleive in love atleast not right now in my life. I may not get married just because I have issues with commitment.

Pixie,
Maybe your issue is not commitment. I mean you have commitment to your dogs......because you love them.
When you really love a man......I don't think commitment will be an issue for you.:D

Dating and informally engaged...it's understood we will get married in the next few years, he just hasn't asked yet. Been together almost 6 years.

Gaddy: You will most likely change your mind quite a bit as you age and mature. Physicality is a huge part to any relationship. I'm not talking about only sex, but kissing, hugging, holding hands...body language says a lot about a person, and if the touchy-feely stuff doesn't feel right, then there's not much to go on most times.

I doubt it. I've never been very interested and doubt I ever will be. Like I said, if I found the right one, I would, but if I didn't, I wouldn't.

In my opinion, certain things are reserved for marriage. Sleeping together, kissing passionately, etc.. Some things I don't consider for just marriage...I kiss family members on the cheek, I hug them, I hold my nephew's hand to keep him near me. I don't agree with falling in love (a relationship that could turn into a marriage) as teenager, I just don't consider it possible. I don't agree with dating for reasons already posted.

When you find the right one its not hard. I mean look at puck and I. We live 8 hours apart and get to see each other once a month MAYBE twice if we are lucky. I mean sure thats "hard" but it would be much harder to not have him at all. We don't have to work at our relationship at all. I mean sure we get pissy with each other but then again that happens with friends all the time. he is my BEST friend. We have NEVER EVER raised our voices to one another. We don't need to. We have our little quiet time outs and then we apologize for being silly and get back to regular life. takes about ten minutes lol if that

Then again I am not like most women and he is not like most men. I don't get jealous, he does not try to act cool in front of his friends.

We don't sweat the petty things and we don't pet the sweaty things :D

Marriage can be a wonderful thing if you do it with the right person. Most people just settle for what they have at the time.

Gaddy don't write off love as a teenager. A lady I know met her husband and they started dating at 15. She is now in her 50's and her husband (the boy she dated since she was 15) recently passed away. I would say it is possible to meet "the one" when you are a teenager.

Single

Never had a real boyfriend in my life. Don't feel like I am missin much so far.

Oh, I guess part of the reason I've never dated is that I am not allowed to until I am 18 :p

Honestly though, even if I could, I probably wouldn't. The only good guys I know that I can talk to forever, they make me laugh, etc.. well, they are all die-hard christians. I don't believe in God.. well, that is one topic that is very..well,.. it just wouldn't ever work out.

But, even if somehow it didn't turn out as ugly as I imagine it would.. well,.. to be totally honest I've never even been kissed. When it comes to guys and that stuff, I am shy. I can be the best of friends with guys, but anything further..well.. nope.

Wow...that's strict...I'm not bashing it, everyone has a different stance to it.
I am glad I dated around...I had relationships before I got married, got some experience. I think, I would have a problem with my husband being a virgin...it sounds really bad, but it's the truth. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a discussion about it...I just thought your strictness is remarkable. I know, I couldn't do it.

My fiance and I are getting married this month on the 30th. The scariest part is that I won't be meeting my inlaws until the wedding. :D

Anyway, Gaddy I am really impressed with your high standards. That isn't something very commonly found these days. When I was a teen I swore that I was going to be a hermit, with just a dog and a flock of chickens in the woods to keep me company because, frankly, I felt that people sucked and I had no desire to spend the rest of my life with any of them. I did really good for about 7 years after deciding that, and then I met my best friend, Robert. When he first met me, he told me that he intended to marry me some day. You know, he was right and I am very grateful that I gave him a chance. I feel really grateful to have him for my best friend, and to also be able to say that I am marrying my best friend. That's the way I feel it should be. :)

I met my boyfriend when I was 15, I am now 19 and even though we have bad times, I cannot and would not want to imagine my life without him. He is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him. And we live 3 hours apart but he drives here most weekends to see me or I go home.

But I went out with several guys before my boyfriend and during a time or two when we broke up for a while. Which I think was a good thing. Had a hard time right when I left for college cuz for a while we were both scared about how that was going to work. And I think it turned out good cuz now I know that even though it is hard, I love him and don't want to be with anyone else.
