She's gone. Never did I think I'd be saying that about my girl so soon.
The specialist said that even if he did the surgery, she'd never, ever be able to walk again. That's no life for her, and anybody who knew her or has met her would agree. He said there's a possibility that she had a tumor on her spinal cord (but wouldn't know unless he opened her up), or she had degenerative disc disease. It wasn't as "simple" as just having a slipped disc or two. He's 98% sure it was the latter, and either way, the outcome wouldn't have been good. When I saw her today, she had no feeling at all from about the base of her neck, down her back. It was awful.
Oh Toller. Geeeez, I just don't know what to say. I was worried when we didn't hear back from you for so long. I'm just so, so sorry. You did the right thing. (((huge hugs)))
