I'll keep her in her thoughts and prayers. I'm sure, once you have all the test results, you'll make the right choice for her, whatever that may be.

She bit everyone because disk problems are very painful. I am sure the vet has sedated her and helped her with her pain, so don't worry about that. The fact that she isn't paralyzed is actually a good thing at this point. The mylo will tell the whole story including positive or negative anticipated surgical outcomes. It's been a rough day for you. I will continue my very special thought for that very special doggie and her special person.

Disc problems can be very painful.

I'm so, so sorry you're having to go through this. I'm sure you'll make the right decision once you have all the test results. Let Denalovescorgis "Jackson Brown" be an inspiration, he had terrible terrible back problems and is living a normal life.

Kisses to Tango and hugs for you.

Keep your chin up. You guys are still in mythoughts. I know you'll make a good decision based on what's best for tango when you have the results.

Thanks you guys. :)

We're going to do absolutely everything we can for her, and give her the best chance possible, whatever that may be. I'm trying my best to stay as positive as possible.

Well, I certainly hope the mylogram shows good news tomorrow.

My friend's dog had what sounds like a very similar issue about a year and a half ago. They never found out what caused it (out hiking in the woods, and the dog was out of sight), but she came out of the woods crying and unable to move her tail. The e-vet misdiagnosed her, and just sent her home to rest. The dog refused to go up or down stairs, wouldn't go outside, and rapidly lost muscle in her hindend. Tango sounds like she has a similar personality to Penny - Penny lives to run in the woods, and my friend had told me before that she had made the dog a promise: she would never make her live a life where she couldn't do what she loved.

In a last ditch effort, they took her to an ortho specialist, who quickly diagnosed a slipped disk and did a mylogram to confirm. Penny had her surgery, recovered faster than anyone thought possible, and is back to running in the woods every day with zero pain.

Here's hoping that Tango has the same success. Good luck to you both.

Toller... (((((((((((BIG hugs)))))))))) and a fuzzy kitten to cuddle.

I hope everything goes well from here... and that things turn out like they did for Penny.

Poor TAngo. I don't know how the vet could tell it was bad genetics like that. Seems like it could be half a dozen things especially a slipped disc. Will keep her in my thoughts and hope a speedy mend is on the way.

Thanks again everybody.

Smkie, I think he said that just because both of her parents have problems with either their back or their hips and such, and her brother just did the same thing last year. He says it's probably more likely caused by all of her exuberance in running and jumping and such though.

The vet called earlier and said she's doing a bit better (now that she's on pain medication). Boston Banker, thanks for sharing that. I hope Tango will have the same success as Penny and Jackson Browne had.

I just wanted to share two pictures I took of her earlier today:
