This must have been Grammy's last post before her electricity went out! We had HUGE storms and tornadoes last night and a tree came down and took out her power lines. She's STILL out of power!!
Is she alright?!? Are the storms towards her house???

The storms happened last night. I told her to go to my house today. But she's hoping to get power restored today... we'll see!

last summer we were out for a number of days..way too many. We had a tornado hit blocks away from my mothers house..go back up and come down hit and miss for miles..the damage was intense. We found out that our powerlines had been held together "with bailing wire and twine" as the newspaper said, that it was inexcusable for them to be in such sad state..what makes it worse is we are in a very wooded region, thick woods with dicedious trees..the one in my mother's front yard is several hundred years old and towers over a hundred feet. I am always amazed when i see the whole sky because i am so use to seeing it thru the tree branches. I hope she gets her power on soon. It seriously sucks when it is out. I was so hungry and home alone, aaron was at his fathers...you don't dare open the fridge at first, then you open it and empty it out afraid to eat any of the contents. Then the neighbors bbq and you sit on the porch with your mouth watering at the smell, but they were new and i didn't know them and they didn't say hey come over...Bronki, mary and i were stuck because i couldn't get ahold of
aaron, was afraid he would come home and go downstairs wich was flooded with water. I couldnt get to the fuse box to flip the main switch and was afraid that his extension cords would be submerged. If he came home, went down and the power came on...well that is why i didn't leave until i saw him. I think we were out for almost 10 days.

(to the tune of "Oh My Darling')
Whether the weather be mild or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not. :D

Well, still no power at Grammy's and it's after 5:00 pm. She's on her way over here to take a shower and we're going out to eat. Doesn't look good for her refrigerator contents. And the worst news is, the neighbor's insurance company won't cover for any of the damage or clean up (it's their tree!) and neither will my Mom's insurance company!!! She's soooo mad!!

if you are mold and mosqiuitos that chase you inside..everyone is hiding out..no walkers, no kids playing outside, the clouds are rising hundreds of feet in the air so we will get a big storm out of it..right now it is just raining from the ground up..Hyia's elephant ear is digging this weather, it does feel just like a jungle out there. I was in one for about 10 ft in Mexico..felt like someone sucked the oxygen right out of me..i have no idea how people could live in there, anyway it has that same feeling. Hyia's elephant ear is up to my shoulders now..and i am 5'10..the leaves are almost 2 feet wide and even longer then that. i am so glad i bought it for her. anyway i hate it..wish i was in SAn Diago right now..its not fit for man or beast.

time for men with chain saws.maybe the neighbors will help...AAron made some money with his chain saw, in fact i bought it for him and he went door to door taking down the simple stuff when our storm hit, managed to make enuff to pay for the chainsaw with some left over...and you can get an ice chest to store her food in while she brings it with her..hope it gets back on soon!
