We are just watching the terrier judging. All look nice, although the staffy looked very unhappy and may have been lame :( shame because it looked a nice dog.

Fred is growling at all the naughty doggies on tv.

I've told him to watch and learn, we should be there next year :yikes:

I was disappointed with the hound group. I reallyreally loved that borzoi! Absolutely gorgeous! The whippet was also nice.

I wonder if they are going to do the "vet check" like last year, and stir the pot even more.

Yes, this is now mandatory for certain breeds and welcomed by most people as a good thing!

Well... Except those with dogs that are known for particular health issues, but that's the point!!

Just heard Fred's uncle got best dog in breed :D and his cousin took best puppy in breed :D

His uncle is still owned by the breeder and Fred actually beat the puppy in our class at the champ show in Manchester! We took first and they took second

She was lame in the BOB judging, which video I've seen, and rumor has it she was lame when judged in the classes as well, but I haven't seen video of that. (realistically, she must have been, since she was lame for BOB). She should not have won. The FB groups and message boards are pretty fired up about it.

She's done a lot of winning, and maybe the judges just wanted to give her this one last win, but it was the wrong choice. A real shame, and a slap in the face to all the quality bitches there who were not lame. And of course, the dog CC winner, who's movement was irreproachable.

Not only does she limp, you can see she keeps trying to put her front foot out to balance herself, and the handler resets it. She shouldn't have been in the ring.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious she's limping. I also was like 'huh' when she jumped on the judge a little at the end, and he acted like he'd been electrocuted.

I noticed that! She was clearly bring exuberant and friendly.... Weird reaction IMO for a judge!
