Breeds You Own....

Currently own: Great Dane (Hannah)
Pit bull X boxer X pointer something or 'nother (Corvus)
Feist (Nellie)

Future: Will probably always own a dane, though my next dog will be a fila. I've wanted one for years and years now, it's time I buck up and get one. (So, um, Renee, make some Kharma puppies already please)

I own 2 chihuahuas.

Next breed will either be another chi, a toller, a BC, or a papillon.

I currently own two Chihuahuas and I have had my son's dog living with me for about 3 years now. She's a medium sized mix...possible GSD and Pitbull...not sure.

In the future, if I live long enough to warrant getting another dog, if mine are gone, I can see another Chi or two or maybe a Poodle (not sure what size, probably a mini or toy) or Poodle mix or some other small breed mix. But two dogs at a time will be my limit. And I don't think I'll have anymore big dogs. At my age I find the toys to fit my life style the best. (unfortunately, in a way. I'll miss having some of the larger breeds which I also love) But small makes the most sense to me at this stage in my life....just so much easier.

i have two american pit bull terriers and a border collie.

i want to wait and see what steve grows into before i make any decisions about future breeds. there will be a retired racing greyhound in the distant future (post-cats, because i like the higher, drivier, not-so-cat-safe greys better).

I have a Cavalier, mini Dachshund, and an English Springer Spaniel. My next dog is going to be an Afghan Hound.

Currently have a liver Flat Coated Retriever, a GSD and a shepherd mix. Not too distant future will be another Flatcoat.

Little more distant future will probably be in Irish Red & White Setter.

I currently own a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My next breed will be a Finnish Lapphund, after that it's quite likely I'll get another cavalier. Also I would love to get at some point in the future a Leonberger and a Flatcoated Retriever.

JRT right now,

future will be APBT, Border collies, aussies, leonbergers, mini doxies, huskies, greyhounds, catahoulas, and I'd LOVE a briard if I ever can face the coat.

Many mixes. Shepherd mixes, lab mixes, bully mixes, JRT mixes, basically whatever shelter dog suits what I'm looking for at the time.

I have owned collies, and do own a mix.

I LOVE boxers, but I don't know if I'll ever own one, because 1) I would prefer to rescue, and 2) I am not sure I could meet a boxers needs... but I don't know that yet.

Oh yeah, one breed that I am 90% sure I'll either own or a very close relative will own is a GSP. I like them, but I'm a bit nervous about the energy level. (Sounds crazy coming from a person who loves high energy herders, but gundog energy is different). I'm going to wait until Dad gets his in a few years (he determined that was the next dog after Trey goes for the family) and see what I think. Extended family has had English pointers for an age but I hear the GSPs are more energetic.

Since I'm working up to going hunting (and learning to use a handgun) I would like one day in the far future to have a working gundog again. Can't do a lab again, but I like the pointers I've met. Or maybe a spaniel or setter would be better, but the pointers are more attractive to me. Of course then again that'd justify a Toller too.

My next dog will be an American Pit Bull Terrier, no question about that...and probably another one soon after that. As much as I love Danes I don't see myself getting another one for a long time.
