Breeds You Own....

What breeds/mixes, etc that you own now?

What breeds/mixes/types can you see yourself owning in the future?


Right now I have a pibble mix and a lab. I could see myself having another lab, a golden, a flat coated retriever, a Chessie, or a curly coated retriever (can you detect a theme yet?) I am also really interested in Dobes.....

I own a boxer of course. I would own in the future maybe a Pointer, a Doberman, a Newfoundland (had one before), a Setter, or a Rottweiler.

Now we have a mini Dachshund, Sibe and a Lab.

Next dog is a male Doberman.

Next dog is a Chessie.

After that...who knows. But my husband has decided that mini Dachshunds are forever, so there may more of those in the future as well.

Current Breeds: Bichon Frise [possible mix], Shih tzu x poodle supposely [possible a peke x king charles spaniel], shih tzu mix, and a mini dachshund.


Next Breeds: Mini Bull Terrier, possible french bulldog, and...

mini Dachshunds are forever, so there may more of those in the future as well.

Australian Shepherd and a foster Lab. Next dogs will be another Aussie (those are forever), Fila, Rottweiler and Papillon. Perhaps a Border Collie tossed in there somewhere.

I own 2 white German Shepherds. In the future I see myself owning more white German Shepherds and maybe some black German Shepherds as well.

Right now: I have two Tollers, and two Dobermans.

Future: I'll always have Tollers (if I ever get the courage to trial and compete -- and therefore, title -- with my dogs without turning into a basketcase, I'd like to breed them). Aside from them, hopefully a Border Collie someday, and I don't doubt that I'll have a few more Dobes in my life too. I'd like a Belgian Shepherd at some point, as well as a Leonberger, but whether or not that'll ever happen, who knows. I love them though. There are plenty of mixes that get to me also... so really, the only definite dogs I'll have in the future are Tollers and Dobes.

And all of that said, no more dogs will be joining me for at least 5 years or more.

Right now we have 4 paps and a sheltie.

Future? Border collies, papillons, and german shepherds definitely. Probably a pyrenean shepherd and aussie, maybe another sheltie. there's a bunch more I would not be opposed to either (read: almost every breed, lol!)

Now: Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs

Future: There is always the possibility of a Malinois or a Dutchie, most likely I will be sticking mostly with Alapahas. I hope to one day be able to add another Greyhound to the house . . . I'm just not sure if I'll ever emotionally be able to do it.

Currently I live with 4 mutts, but only Buster is mine, he is most likley kelpie/stumpy tail cattle dog and a lot of other things.

In future I want BC's and kelpies mainly (always atleast one), but I would also like to have a few GSP's and danes, koolies, greyhounds, a pug, a pyr shep, an APBT, a stumpy tail cattle dog, a frenchie, a rhodeisan ridgeback, a greater swiss mountain dog (though there are none in the country at this time) a rottweiler, and a bullmastiff.



okay... maybe my list is a bit long, but it just keeps getting longer as I fall for more breeds. Top of my list will forever be kelpies and BC's, and I want several danes and GSP's, everything I hope to own but we'll see how many shelter mutts I fall for.

Beagles and Leonberger. I plan on always having a Leo...the Beagles in the far, far, distant future? Not sure on that...

if I ever were to breed Leo's...it'd be a lot to have two breeds so might just have retiree's at that point....who knows?

Now: Currently Dog-less.

Future:
Next dog, should a dog be allowed for the place I'm moving to at the end of the month, a female bi black sheltie. If not, wait for a bit, then it's a huge mix up between a sheltie, toller and a border collie. Then I'll be right back to where I started.

Second dog, out of the two that's left from the first three choices.

Third dog, One of my two favourite breeds, one of whom unforunately don't match my cat friendly requirement, The Ibizan Hound. And the other, my most favourite dog breed, which I oddly don't think I've ever mentioned on chaz how much I adore this breed, but they don't match my "performance dog" needs.. The newfoundland.

Fourth dog comes after someone dies, I think 3 dogs would be my limit.

What I would own in the future: Papillons, Tollers, BCs, and Kooikers. I'm sure I am leaving something out, but those have been on my mind the most.

Future: Who knows! I've got my eye on Filas, Danes and Dobermans, but the only thing that's certain is that I'll never be without a Border Collie.

and live with
an additional 1 long haired chihuahua and a cocker spaneil.

my plans once i get a house of my own (since my parents are not allowing me to take the wowies) is:

at least 1 preferably 2 more cresties (id like to show and possibly breed cresties) id liek both to be hairy hairless
and id like my "big" dog, right now im thinking either a male harlequin dane, a black and tan or blue and tan dobie, a white standard poodle or a saluki im also inlove with bull terriers and staffordshire bull terriers, and realy like wolfhounds and afghan hounds, but i think ill allow the bf if were still togehter at that poitn to assist in that choice...Mabe..lol!
