Katie is doing well. She's feeding well, too. I'm feeling great. (I did prepare myself for the infamous "baby blues" or postpartum depression - but so far, have not experience any of the symptoms yet.) I'm dealing well with the C-section. Doc prescribed pain medicines 4 times/day for 30 days - but so far, I've only taken them once a day at night to help keep me comfortable during the night. During the day, I'm too occupied to feel any pain

I guess, I'm overwhelmed by love for Katie & gratitude to God, my families & friends who're flocking to my house to visit us, I don't have time for any other feelings .

How are the dogs responding to her being in the house? What do they think of her sounds and smells? LOL

Thanks goodness I do have lots of help. My parents live with us, and my husband takes 2 weeks off to care for me and the baby. My brother is home for a week, too - because he just finished his quarter at school.

We have a full house & I can have all the help I need, if I ever needed them -but, Katie does prefer to have me around, so I still end up doing most of the things for her. Having hubby home is most wonderful though, because (according to him), he did manage to change Katie's diaper a couple times before she cried during the night and wake me up.. He's so proud of it & I'm so proud of him

Ahh.. They did well. However, since they've all been my only babies for sooo long, they did show some jealousy around Katie.. Mocha wants to be held when I hold Katie, and Muffin tries all her tricks to get our attention when Katie's around. Missy is still a bit unsure about the new being, so she keeps her distance - for now. But all in all, they're doing okay. My room is off limit to them for now, though.

And I'm glad to hear you are feeling well. I've felt amazingly well after this c-section as well, but then again, I don't have time to sit and feel pain. LOL I hope you recover fast, but take things slow with Katie. They grow so fast........

Are you kidding? You look pretty good in that picture! Seriously ... your cheeks are glowing so much from being so happy, that it looks like you're wearing blush!! In the picture of your husband with his new daughter ... he appears to have been more tired than you were.
