Yay!!!! Theresa, I am SO happy for you. You waited so long and were so strong. I wonder if there has ever been a baby wanted, as badly as yours. :) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

CONGRATS!

I LOVE the name you went with, but I could be just a bit biased, LOL.......we have a Catarina (with a C instead) and she prefers to be called Cat :D

Can't wait for pictures, and I'm so happy you are both doing wonderfully well :)

Nothing in the world can be better than waking up next to a little being that is your own :) (and 4 pages of congratulations on her arrival!!). Thank you everyone!

I am not sure if it's because I'm physically strong, or mentally strong, or that I'm just too happy, nothing else matters - but I am dealing exceptionally well with the pain caused by the C-section. Except for the epidural and/or other anethesias I was getting at the time of the surgery, I only take Motrin since & am able to handle the pain. Actually, by the time I was leaving the hospital, the surgery site was more uncomfortable than painful - so it's not too bad.

I stayed in the hospital for 4 nights. We had a private room, so my hubby was able to stay with us throughout the nights. He was incredible with Katie, and helped make the first few nights of her life & our lives as her parents went as great as I could ever hope for or imagine.

I can't describe the moment Katie was born.. It was almost magical. I was surprised to find that not just both of us were crying, but the two nurses who helped us during the 6 hours of pushing, and my doctor also had teary eyes, too! There was probably about 10 people in the room, and as much as they were busy with the cleaning up, they all took a moment to applaud & gave us big hugs.. I was not sure when Katie arrived, she cried more, or hubby & I did, amid others' sigh of relieve & happiness for us all.

Katie was 8 lbs 2 oz & 20 inches when she came :)

I'll have her pictures up by the end of today as I just got my camera two days before she came, and have not install the software or anything onto my computer yet.
