They're pretty good about it. Lucy will go and sunbathe, but most of the time she does her business and comes back in. Juno's actually really good out there too, she's very curious and would spend the whole day sniffing each blade of grass if she could lol. But that's fine with me!

While being in the house, is his favorite... Brutus also likes to stay outside and catch some rays everyday.
Cleo, on the other hand...will not go to the bathroom unless someone is outside with her. If you come back in, she is plastered to the door.

My dog doesn't really want to be outside unless someone's out there with him. He's fine to be put in his dog run (we don't have a fenced in yard so we built a dog run for him so he'd have a safe place to be in outdoors as well) if we're out working in the garden or something and he sees us, but the minute we go inside, he's at the gate waiting for us to come and get him. He's much too clingy to people to want to be outside on his own. He's also not much of an outdoor dog, he would much rather go for one walk in the morning and then spend the whole day sleeping inside the house.

If I'm around, Bailey is with me or at least able to get to me (sometimes he'll nap in another room, but he'll come over if he hears me moving around). I wouldn't leave him alone outside for safety reasons, but he wouldn't stand for it anyway. He comes in with me if I reach in the door to grab my keys or something. He's always been attached to me, but since we moved recently, he doesn't like for me to leave his sight (except when I drop him off at daycare -- he happily leaves me behind then! ;)).

Funny my doctor has told me to do the same thing, go out and get some sun each day to boost my immune system. Pretty darn smart of them to know that already isn't it? Mary loves to bake and you could just calle Pepper a chilli pepper for how hot she gets.

Summer, the blond, long tailed cocker, likes to sunbathe, but she prefers company. She will go outside in the summer by herself, however.

Spook loooooved the outdoors. He did. He preferred company, but would also lay outdoors for hours even sometimes.

Marq and Misha will both go outside to run and stalk birds, but Marq is a momma's boy and doesn't stay out long. Misha will go outside for very long periods of time.

The rest, they usually ONLY go outside with company, or if it is nice out and they have to potty, but they are quickly back in the house with a person.

Phoebe is happy as can be to lay out in the sun and be left alone.

Orson however feels the need to be right up my butt all the time whether it's inside or out, so no, he doesn't appreciate any outside alone time.............I may pass gas and he'd miss his chance to sniff it  LOL, Seriously though, if I put him out back without me he goes right into the little kennel, then into the doghouse and don't come out until the back door is reopened *sigh*

The boys loooooooove it outside. Mostly because for the better part of the year, outside is cooler than inside. They do enjoy coming in for visits of course. Ronan was brought up as an indoor dog but when he came to live with me he took to living outside like a fish to water. OC was an indoor puppy but around 6 months old he himself decided that he wanted to spend the nights outside.

Rosey loves it, the only time she wants somebody in her backyard with her is when the bbq is going. She lays out there and sunbathes

Right now we do not have a fenced in yard but my BF's friend does. She is perfectly content out there as long as she has other dogs to play with. One time though she must have gotten bored of her doggie friends and she some how got over the 6 foot privacy fence they have (I've never seen it since its my BF friend's place and I don't go over there much). Thankfully she came around to the front door and started barking! :yikes:

Needless to say if we ever get a fenced in yard we will be out there supervising her. Agility anyone?

My old girl Midnite doesn't like to be tied out a lone either (no fenced in yard at my mom's house either) and if we don't tie her she takes herself for nice long walks.

Sally will poke around outside for a while by herself. Jack--not so much. If he is completely by himself he will only go out to pee and come straight back to the door. If Sally is with he might stay outside to play with her or go in his kiddie pool if it's out, but he never just hangs out outside unless his people are out with him.

ugh, oakley hates it. Every now & then he'll forget he is by himself & get distracted by a squirrel, but then he is right back & the door...not just standing there...but up on it pawing & scratching at as if there were a monster out there about to eat him.

Its ridiculous.

He has also decided he hates our backyard & won't even go out there to pee by himself after all night of not peeing. I have to take him out front & stand there while he does his business...
